ANIMALS HERE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME

Do you recognize me? I am currently a lost pet at Animal Allies waiting for my family to come get me.

I was found roaming near Drake Drive in St Louis County.

I am a male mixed breed puppy who was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

If you see your pet here, please call 218-722-5341. Our staff will return your call during our regular business hours and your pet will be well cared for in the meantime.

These pets will be cared for during the state-mandated 5-day stray hold, and then placed into our adoption program if they are not reclaimed. Animals here are NOT available for adoption at this time.

Sometimes thank you just doesn’t feel like enough.

Today we went in to swap vehicles with our long term partners Krenzen Auto. They supply us with a car to attend community events and transport animals to local vet visits/training programs.

They told us we were coming in to have our vehicle upgraded - but then suprised us and let us know they would also be covering the entire $10,000 deductible from our recent flood incident.

This means all the money already donated towards repairs will help with unexpected costs/losses that pop up down the road; or even better…go right to the animals!🐾❤️

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for not only the beautiful Rouge, but for taking a huge financial stress off of our shoulders.

If you’re looking to buy or sell in the new year, pay our amazing partners a visit!

UPDATE:
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue working through this devastating event. Each day, more and more damage is being discovered and setting us back further with our repair timeline.

We are currently at an almost full loss of our admin offices, full loss of our humane education room and full loss of our public bathrooms.
Please be patient with phone call return times as many staff are displaced and without a working line.
Also keep our current bathroom situation in mind when coming to visit.

For those continuing to ask how you can help:

•Donate! We have seen awesome support thus far - but received word today that our insurance deductible will be $10,000. You all have already been amazing and donated about $3,400! Any additional help in covering those costs would be huge.

•ADOPT! With the loss of so much indoor enrichment space for our animals, getting them into homes as soon as possible is more important than ever. We have dogs and cats off all ages ready to be your new best friend!

•Slow down on in kind donations!
Our garage is nearly packed to the brim with items needing to be stored from the damaged spaces.
A temporary pause on large donations such as a dog beds, large crates and multiple bags of blankets/towels would be appreciated. We will update once we have our normal space for storing these types of items back!

Thank you again to everyone who has supported us in the new year. Rest assured, the animals are warm and safe. Please come meet them during our open business hours (and excuse the slight mess). ❤️🐾

*ANIMALS HERE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME*

Do you recognize us? We are currently lost pets at Animal Allies waiting for our families to come get us. And we know we look almost identical!

The first cat pictured is an intact male domestic shorthaired cat who was found near the 4500 block of Abrahamson Rd in Hermantown. He was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

The second cat pictured is an intact male domestic shorthaired cat who was found near the 3900 block of Munger Shaw Rd in St. Louis County. He was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

❗️SHELTER RE-OPENING TOMORROW❗️
Front desk staff will be onsite until 2pm today answering phones and returning calls!

We can not thank our community enough for showing up and doing so much work so quickly!
Fire station house 4 arrived immediately and got to work helping clear the entire room and pushed all of the standing water outdoors.

Billmans, Personal Property Restoration,
FirePro and several volunteers also dropped everything to show up and help in so many ways!
All of that on top of everyone reaching out and asking how they can help leaves us feeling so thankful for our community and eager to get back to normal as quickly as possible for all of you!

Initially we suspected a pipe froze - but it’s appearing this may be a larger issue surrounding the structural integrity of our piping. We will be taking all the steps possible to ensure everything is properly checked out and intervention taken to avoid something like this from happening again.

We have been absolutely inundated with calls and messages on how folks can help. The flooding spread through our Humane Education Room and Administration Offices. (yes, all the animals are completely fine!❤️)

We lost:
•numerous supplies for our youth camps and activities
• window shades
• a projector screen
• entire cart of electronics
• a laptop
• zoom camera
• multiple electrical and power strips
• our entire phone conference/projector system.
We will also need to cover costs for cleaning/preventing mold, replacing the ceiling and overall restoration.

If you are feeling eager to help, a donation to cover what insurance can’t would be so appreciated!
Also if you, or someone you know would be interested in making in-kind donations of items or labor please send us a message! Our large window shades will likely be the most labor intensive/specialized items needing to be replaced.

Another way to help is showing up and adopting! Getting these dog and cats into loving homes is a wonderful way to support us 🐾
Thank you again so much to everyone who has been keeping us in your thoughts!

And to little Lennan who had her 6 birthday party rained all over…we promise we’ll give you an even bigger and better party very very soon! 🎉

SHELTER CLOSED!!!
We unfortunetly had a pipe freeze on our sprinkler system and are experiencing severe flooding. All of the animals are safe, and we will keep already scheduled adoption appointments for the day.
We will update on our socials as soon as the building is back open for regular visiting.
Thank you for your patience!

Check out Kuma! The lucky recipient of this week’s staff run!🏃🏼‍♀️🐾

Here are some fun facts:
•Kuma ran over 3 miles and loved the snow!
This sweet lady has excellent leash manners and would be a great hiking buddy.

•Kuma knows the command for sit, lay down and shake. She also seemed to know the “leave it” command when walking past other dogs.

•Kuma did wonderful in the car and would do a coffee run with you any morning of the week…only request being a little pup cup ❤️

Come meet this beautiful 6 year old today!

There are still a lot of folks out there that don’t realize we are NOT funded by the government and rely completely on donations and grants.

If the donations stop, our doors close.

If you own a business or know someone in the community that would like to become a corporate sponsor for a local non profit dedicated to helping the people and pets of the Twin Ports, please send them our way ❤️

MEDICAL MONDAY!🩺🐾
•After a very financially difficult year, our goal for 2025 is to save money in as many ways as possible!
We will focus on making direct asks for the items we use the most here at the shelter in the hopes of saving some much needed money.

•Today we are requesting pill pockets, and have linked a cost effective option below! These are also sold at many local retailers.

•With many of our animals needing daily medications, we go through these products quickly! Our hope is the community will connect with these targeted asks and help in cutting down on overall shelter costs.

•As always, your support means the world and all the furry friends here appreciate you!❤️
