SNAIL

Please be aware that if you pick a snail off the ground to move them to a safer place you could cause potential pain if not done properly, simply by just ripping the snail away from the ground.
This can cause the mantle to collapse which could kill the snail.
Although a snail does not have a brain-in the same way that a human has, they do have a nervous system through their body and many scientists think that their reaction to certain stimuli have proven that they experience pain.
Although it has not been proven 100%, I do not wish to risk hurting this fragile creature, or killing them by causing the mantle to collapse.
So to prevent either of these happening you just need to tap a snail on their shell to make them retract their body into the shell before you move the snail.
Just pulling them away from the ground- is potentially excruciatingly painful for the snail and will often result in their death.
Please become a snail tapper.
We so need these little guys to maintain the wildlife balance in our gardens.

Many orphans can be left a few hours to see if mom comes back...NOT OPOSSUMS! If you see a baby like this one in a yard or anywhere, get it quickly in a little box or pet carrier with a blanket and keep warm and call a wild life rescue. Momma opossum can have up to 13 babies. As they grow, they don't all fit in the pouch so they ride on her back. If something startles her and she runs, one can fall off. Momma doesn't know she lost one so please never ever leave one thinking mom will come back...

Higgins was born in 1957. He was found at age 3 in an animal shelter in Burbank, California by animal trainer Frank Inn in 1960. He played 'Dog' on "Petticoat Junction" from 1964 till 1970. He made appearances on "Green Acres" and "The Beverly Hillbillies," and later, "The Waltons." He was brought out of retirement at age 16 to play his most beloved role as "Benji" (1974). Higgins crossed the rainbow bridge on November 11, 1975 at age 17. Higgins only known offspring, his daughter Benjean took over as Benji in her father's place in "For The Love Of Benji" 1977. In following Benji sequels she shared the spotlight with another dog named Moochie..Higgins show business career lasted for 14 years. He brought much love and joy to all who knew and saw him.

I had adopted her but she refused to come away with me. It was weird because dogs can't wait to leave the kennel. She was crying and stubbing her paws. I should have dragged her. But when I looked down I understood the reason and I had to make a CHOICE "When the time came to take her home she was just out of that cage, from that moment a new world awaited her, a wonderful life and a lot of love. Any other dog would have run into the embrace of her rescuers. But she did not. She stood still, sticking to all fours, and refused to come out of the cage. In a corner, a small Chihuahua Taco looked at her in fear. She understood that she was about to lose her best friend. And in that moment a small miracle happened. The couple saw the whole scene and decided to adopt them both. They did the documents also for the chihuahua and all 4 went out the door of the shelter. was taken in the car, before leaving. I would like to wish these two dogs a happy life full of love! But above all so much happiness also to these two wonderful people ❤️
