✨ Announcement ✨

After much thought and heavy consideration, I have made a final decision to change the name of my kennel - instead of Idyllwynd, we will be known as Sovereign Miniature American Shepherds. Many factors have gone into this choice, but ultimately it boils down to the fact that I came up with the original name at a time when I didn’t know hardly a thing about showing, titling , or even breeding. I made the switch from ASDR to AKC, and from there I have dedicated myself to learning all that I can in order to provide continuous improvement for myself, my kennel, and my dogs. As the time approaches that we will be producing bred by’s of our own, I feel like a fresh start is a beautiful thing to honor these new beginnings. 💚

After eight shows within a week and a half, I can say with the utmost certainty that both Jackpot and I are exhausted! He showed exceptionally well and came home with both majors plus a handful of singles towards his championship. I could not be happier with how he handled everything and look forward to finishing up the remaining two points he needs! 💕

The amount of pride I have for this boy is beyond comprehension! I am so glad to be able to experience many firsts with him - our first Best of Breed, our first time in regular groups, and our first owner-handled group placement. 💙 He is a truly an outstanding boy!

Jackpot has done exceptionally well these first three days of the OKC show cluster, but nothing prepared me for the huge wins he received on day two! My 15 month old boy went breed from the classes, then proceeded to show like a superstar in both regular and owner-handled groups, walking away with a beautiful OH Group 2 placement! All wins were under the esteemed judge Joe Lobb. To say I am absolutely blown away is an understatement, and I could not be more proud of how much he has improved in the ring with limited showing experience. 💕

Life has been a bit hectic over here, which means I’m way behind on introducing this sweet girl! Daisy came to us early last month and has been such a delight! She truly has the most ideal temperament and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t know what a stranger is! 😂❤️
