Monroe SPCA envisions a humane no kill community where people treat each other and animals wth kindness, respect, and empathy.

Monroe Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Monroe SPCA) is a 501c.3 tax-exempt, not-for-profit animal welfare and protection organization incorporated in the State of Michigan in 2010. Monroe SPCA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We also proudly host a membership society open to anyone interested in animal welfare. Monroe SPCA’s mission is to save, protect, and improve

the lives of animals. In fulfilling our mission we intend to be a leader in promoting humane values, preventing cruelty to animals, ending animal homelessness, and providing protection to and responsible placement of animals in-need.

Its Giving Tuesday and today our Giving Tree is up in full swing! We have a nearly $1,500 vet bill that needs to be paid off, so please some some love our way if you can! If you can't donate financially, we do need supplies for our shelter cats that you can donate through the Giving Tree. Here's how it works:
• Select a tag from the Giving Tree that matches the item you wish to donate.
• Write your name and address on the tag and attach it to your donated item.
• Place it under the tree.
• Receive an acknowledgement & receipt in January 2025 for your tax-deductible donation

We care for a local cat colony - truly feral cats that we spayed/neutered, do medical, and our volunteers care for daily. But the roof of their shelter has taken massive damage from the elements and needs to be completely replaced. If anyone can contribute to the funds for the replacement, we'd be very grateful and we know those kitties will be too.
