It is with great sadness we've learned today of the passing of Kenny Ballone. Kenny was the Original Bass Player for MOD and was recently back with Original MOD Guitarist Tim McMurtrie in Angry Corpses. I loved the USA for MOD Album he was on and it's still an iconic Album. I was just starting high school when it came out and still have that on cassette. I got to know Kenny a little bit over the last couple years through Tim and he was such a great person. It was a great privilege to have gotten to know him. On behalf of BL Drum Works and Black Hill Rebels (The shirt Kenny is wearing here is supporting my band Black Hill Rebels, he always supported bands) our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to Kenny's family, friends and bandmates. When you are in a band together, there is a huge bond between each other. You become family creating and playing music together. Don and I went through this last year, so we know how Kenny's bandmates feel right now. We love you guys and are here for you if you need us. Love you Kenny, Godspeed our brother

To all BL Drum Works supporters. Jeff Mahoney, former Bass Player for our brothers and Spot neighbors Slapjaw has fallen on hard times like we can’t imagine. Jeff was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, his wife Katy has MS and they just lost their house in a fire losing everything including their pets. Any amount helps and is not too small. What I have been waiting for! After using Pro-Mark Sticks my entire career, I made a switch! I have become a Scorpion Percussion Signature Artist! Got my First case of sticks in today! The Venom Grip is amazing! Thanks to Smitty and everyone at Scorpion Percussion!

Well, another custom snare built! I’ll let this settle then fine tune it during the next couple weeks. I have this one and the last one to photograph and need to photograph the Pearl Restoration as well. This will sound as beautiful as it looks if not more! It’s always such a great feeling building something!

2008 compared to 2021. Since I restored my old Peral Kit I Recorded my Pave The Way "Ode To Hatred" Cd with, I decided it would be cool to also recreate the photo that was inside the cover. Different room (actually right next to the old room lol), different look, different vibe, different attitude! New vibes, new beginnings! Let's move forward!
