As we gear up for the 2024 show schedule I really had an awesome time in 2023 meeting so many customers, fellow breeders, and seeing some old friends, so for 2024 we decided to run a show special all year long. Ok so we have a really nice female Red Phantom Lily White POS het axanthic named Joan Jett, Joan is the daughter of Lita Ford a HET Axanthic Red Phantom Lily White that was paired to another 100% het male to produce Joan. Joan has never been paired to a male due to her age and weight HOWEVER on Sept 28th I found what looked to be a fertile egg in her bin, so I put a laybox in her bin in case she had more, sure enough 2 weeks later she laid 2 more eggs on October 12th I had all 3 eggs in one of our egg bowls we do not incubate as our house temps stay between 72 and 77 degrees all year long, each of our females have their own egg bowl so eggs never get mixed up. Tonight when getting ready to feed our baby geckos I took a quick look at the egg bowls to see if anything was hatching as we hatch 12 months out of the year here and to my surprise there was a hatchling it was the first egg Joan had laid, this is crazy we have never had an egg hatch in that short of time (we also never had a female lay 2 weeks apart nor have we ever had a partho females, lots of firsts here the last 2 months). I opened the bowl to get a better look at the baby and found a little axanthic in the bowl covered by vermiculite, this means that our partho female just proved herself out and is no longer a possible het but a het. Strangest thing to happen here so far. Pictured is Joan (mom) and Lita (grandma) and the new baby just out of the egg.

A couple quick shots today of Billy Idol just amazing colors on him and the white is so intense, hard to get it in the photo but its eye catching everyone that has seen him at the show with me immediately comments on his unusual look. Looking forward to proving him het for axanthic this year!!
