Scattered Acres is a professional lesson facility that teaches horsemanship, hunter jumpers, and dressage with opportunities to compete.

Scattered Acres Equestrians is a Professional lesson facility, specializing in lessons in Hunter Jumpers. We excel in showing at all levels. We offer a program to promote more riding time for the serious riders and have our own 4H club. We also offer lessons in lower level dressage and for recreational riders. All students are required to learn overall horsemanship. Most of our school horses have

been raised and trained by SAE staff. They are all show quality and will win your hearts in a second. Sharmon Puffenberger is the head Instructor. She is certified and has been teaching successfully for the show ring, college teams, and some of her students have even become practicing professionals. Throughout her career she has trained with professionals such as Sally Swift, George Morris, Hugh Riley, John Lyons, Vladimir Littauer and many other notable equestrians. Elizabeth (Lizzy) Campbell, our assistant Instructor, has been teaching for several years now and is very active in the training of our show ponies & horses.

The Halloween Spook-Tacular was a SUCCESS!! 🎃 👻

I want to give a huge shout out to everyone who showed up and showed out! You guys all did an amazing job today and just amazed me as always! I loved seeing everyone’s costumes and watching all of us enjoy the games 👻🎃🤣

I also want to give a big thank you to the people who made the barn show happen by setting up and prepping! And to the horses for always putting up with us!!👻

So sorry for the lack of posting lately but we are back!!

I wanted to share this beautiful ride and I’ll have our next horse/pony up by the end of the week!

Hello SAE family! I wanted to just let everyone know we made it safely through Milton! 😁

We have no power and everything is very wet but we are beyond blessed for only have very minimal wrong! 🫶🏻 We are as always praying for everyone who was greatly impacted! 🌧️🙏

I hate that we are here again but we are! 😭
As hurrican Milton approaches we say a prayer for everyone. 🌧️ 🙏

The horses and barn is prepped and we are as ready as we can be! We will do updates as we can and keep the SAE family posted.🌧️

Please remember if you see horses after the storm and they come to you please check their manes, tails , and body for numbers or tags!

🎃Weekly Meet and Greet🎃

This guy right here is one of a kind. He was our first born on property and Sharmon Puffenberger baby. She has raised him to be a loving, caring and by far the most personable pony you’ll ever meet.🫶🏻

He’s a once in a lifetime pony and we are beyond blessed to have had him with usfor the past 18 years, he will teach you how to ride,and he will teach how to properly handle a horse. He will also teach you unconditional love and most importantly patience 🤣👻

Everyone meet Oliver’s Whisper. 🫶🏻
He’s a welsh pony that we use for all stages 😁🫶🏻 He’s taken kids to many shows, from schooling to rated! 🐎🫶🏻

If you know our barn , then you know Oliver is a true staple of our family. 🐎 Come down and meet the one and only ! We know he would enjoy meeting you!! 🫶🏻🐎

🐴🐎HORSE OF THE WEEK 🐎🐴

Everyone meet Kamilla Diamond or also known as Kami!🫶

She is a 13 year old off the track thoroughbred, and started he hunter career a little late in life. But she has blossomed into a beautiful mare for advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.🐎

She’s very beautiful, intelligent and quite the personality. Over the years SAE has had her she’s turned into a very personable and pristine young lady. We are beyond happy. She is part of our Barn family.🐎🐎🐎

Make sure you come down to SA and come meet Kami! 🐴🐴

Good evening SAE family! I’m so sorry for anyone who has reached out and has had a delayed response time within the past two week. We had a valued employee away on vacation, so we’ve been short some hands. But our second in charge (Josie Collier) has kept this barn doing incredible and we are so thankful for her! 🫶

With that being said everything is back into full function.😃 I want to start by saying every couple of days from here on I’m going to be posting one of our lesson animals so that everyone can learn who we have and the type of horses we have!!

Tonight is, George! He’s a 5 year old OTTB(off the track Thoroughbred) gelding and probably the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet! He’s more whoa thango which makes him an exceptional guy for an age or level. He’s jumping up to 2ft and has placed very well in the shows hes been too! 😊 He has quite the personality and we couldn’t picture our barn without him! 🫶
