We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Lia Gross is joining the Deer Creek Animal Hospital team in Phoenix, AZ, though she is originally from New Mexico! Dr, Gross graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in a primary care veterinary setting for over 10 years. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jordan and their three dogs - Kylee, Dante, and Chaos.

Due to the events of the F3 tornado that hit the Valley View & Sanger, TX area, the Animal Hospital on Milam Road's wonderful staff has gone out into the community & rescued many fur babies and brought them back into the clinic for shelter and care.

There are many pups that they have under their care as well as that have needed treatment. One of their lovely guests is named Willow & was found on the side of the road by a wonderful human & she has a broken leg & pelvis that needs an important extensive surgery! Funds will go towards Willow's surgery, vaccinations, medications, & other treated injuries! They also have some pups that have found their owners but will be staying at the clinic at no cost due to their homes being destroyed or them being hospitalized themselves that funds will go towards.

We are excited to announce the appointment of Leviathan Winn as our new Chief Financial Officer.

Leviathan brings more than 20 years of finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, digital and retail services experience.

Prior to Destination Pet, Leviathan served as the Chief Financial Officer at Zulily, a leading e-commerce company within Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: QRTEA). In that position, he was responsible for the finance function and the transformation efforts for Zulily and led it to a successful sale. Prior to that, Leviathan was the CFO at Qdoba Mexican Eats, Taco Bell and served as an Audit Committee Board Member for Smart & Final, where he helped lead a successful sale to Grupo Comercial Chedraui (BMV: CHDRAUI).

Our Story

The Staffing Difference We do not hire seasonal help and we do not hire kids to care for your pet. Our staff is highly trained with years of experience working hands on with animals. They are all Pet First Aid trained and can all read dogs signals so we can prevent problems, not react to them after they have already occurred. That is a key difference in how The Pet Resorts-Dunwoody is run. The Fun Difference We also believe in making sure your furry family member is not cooped up in a cage all day only getting out a few times to “play” or potty. Our guests play for hours at a time in monitored, climate controlled play yards. Don’t be alarmed if your pet lies around or sleeps for a period of time after pick up! We can and will reduce play time for older dogs or dogs that are less comfortable in a group. Just let us know! The Pricing Difference We didn’t like it when we boarded our dogs in the past and were surprised to see all sorts of charges at checkout over and above the published rate for walks, play times, beds, feedings, administering medicine, and even potty breaks! And we don’t expect you to like it either. So we charge one set, fair price for boarding and daycare. The only extras are for temperament testing, grooming, and special services for dog-reactive dogs. We think you will find us to be very unique and competent in the care of your pet as we have years of experience and many happy clients!
