Our hours have changed! We are now open until 9 pm (rather than 10 pm) for urgent/emergency care Monday-Saturday. Our Sunday hours remain the same (8 am - 6 pm). We have instituted this change to allow our hardworking ER staff to get home at a more reasonable hour to recharge their bodies and be able to provide exceptional care to your pets every day of the week ❤

We are excited to share that Dr. Trevor Miller will be joining the Riverview team in June! Dr. Trevor grew up in Placerville, CA, a small town near Lake Tahoe. He received a Bachelor's Degree from UC Berkeley in 2007 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2012. He then completed an intensive one-year rotating internship in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Trevor practiced in the Bay Area and Bend, OR prior to moving to Durango in 2025. Dr. Trevor’s primary interests in veterinary medicine include surgery (orthopedics and soft tissue), emergency medicine, internal medicine, and imaging (ultrasound, laparoscopy). Outside of work he can be found mountain biking, skiing (alpine and backcountry), backpacking, and spending time with his wife, two kids, dog (Inyo), and cat (Gonzo). We are sure that you and your pets will love him 👨‍🔬

Happy ! This month, we're sharing information about medications that may be beneficial for pets with mobility issues. Librela is a medication for dogs with arthritis pain. It is an injectable monoclonal antibody therapy administered once a month at the clinic. It is always used in conjunction with other therapies, such as anti-inflammatories, pain medication, supplements, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. It has helped to get many senior dogs back on their feet, including adorable Logan here!
