Baker’s Bridge Vet Clinic said goodbye to one of our own. Last week, we lost Albert, our precious little orange boy who has been with us since he left Trimble Hot Springs in 2020. Albert was quite simply, the best. We all adored him. Albert filled us with laughs, constantly knocking over drinks, dumping lunches on the floor, and voraciously eating Zia chips and Cheetos, sometimes getting his head stuck in the bag. He could rock every Halloween costume. He was known to play random YouTube channels on Dr. Marshall’s computer. He demolished cases of temptations. He was so feisty in the most endearing way and if you’ve visited us, you may have heard the frequent “Albert, stop!” echoing from the back. We’re sad we don’t know his actual birthday, but we think he was likely 21 and legal but never got his BBVC margarita. We miss him already and are so grateful for our 4 years with him.

This coming Thursday, February 8th, we will have adjusted hours for the day. We will be open from 8 AM to 5:30 PM that day and resume regular business hours the following day. Thank you!

Due to the concern about the canine respiratory virus, we ask everyone attending to be cautious about letting your animals interact with other animals outside of your household.

You may have heard about the scary new upper respiratory tract infection identified in dogs. While we encourage you to take some precautions, there is no need for alarm.

We still don’t know the causative agent for this disease. We have yet to see any confirmed cases here at Baker’s Bridge Veterinary Clinic but encourage you to follow recommendations made by the AVMA which are:
⁃ Keep your dogs up to date on vaccines
⁃ Avoid congregating with large groups of dogs.
⁃ Seek medical care if your dog develops a cough

Out of an abundance of caution, we are now stocking the Canine Influenza vaccine as well.
