We’ve received a lot of inquiries and have had many one on one conversations with our clients regarding Prop 129. Here’s some additional information on Prop 129 and why we do not believe it is a good idea.

Colorado veterinary clinics are united against Proposition 129, with more joining the effort each day. With crucial issues like this one on the ballot, your voice matters. Colorado's pets and animals rely on you to vote NO on Proposition 129.

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY MOVED!!! We are now open at our new location. 140 Rock Point Dr., Durango, CO 81301. (Durango Tech Center) our hours are the same. Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to Noon. We can’t wait to see you here!

WE ARE MOVING TO A NEW LOCATION!!!

Durango Animal Hospital will be moving to 140 Rock Point Dr., Durango Colorado located in The Durango Tech Center.

Our last day at the Main Ave location will be Wednesday, August 21st. We will reopen at Rock Point Dr. on Monday, August 26th at 11:00 am.

We are super excited to show off our new space and can’t wait to see you there! Please note, that during our move, we will not be available so please plan ahead for prescription refills and food. It’s that time of year again.

At this time of year we are beginning to see newborn wildlife across the state. We would like to remind everyone to please leave these animals alone.

Every year we receive many calls regarding animals that are perceived to be "abandoned" and in some cases picked up by the public. Often times mothers will leave their young in a safe place to protect them from predators while they are out foraging for food. It is very important not to feed, approach, or touch these animals because the presence of human scents may cause mothers to truly abandon them.

If you see a young animal that you believe has been abandoned please leave it alone and call Colorado Parks and Wildlife at (970) 247-0855.

We are hiring for our next Veterinary Technician Team Lead!!

We are looking for someone who is patient, curious, tenacious, and detail oriented that is ready to lead an amazing team of veterinary technicians/assistants and values work/life balance. Our team is highly skilled, dependable, cohesive, and fun!

We are looking for someone with 4+ years of experience in all aspects of a Veterinary Technician, including but not limited to anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery, phlebotomy, proper animal restraint, catherization, dentistry, radiology, and vaccine administration. The ability to communicate in an effective, professional, and courteous manner is a must.

Typical assignment of duties include, but is not limited to, inventory control, training new technicians and onboarding new Doctors, collaborating closely with management to create, implement, and maintain clinic protocols, and provide educational support for team members.

The schedule is typically 4 days a week up to 10 hour days. We alternate Saturdays.

We are looking for someone who has prior supervisory, team lead, and/or training experience.

Benefits include paid sick time, PTO, 401k match, majority paid health insurance, dental and vision, and uniforms. Pay is $24.00+ / hour.
