Apologies for the sparse posting - we’re over here making magic happen! 😁

This time is being taken to ensure our customers get only the BEST lines from our breeders. Would you believe the top pic and the bottom pic are the same fish…and only 7 days apart?

I heard he colors up even more when you share the post!

Time flies when you’re having fun - or when you’re watching Nimbochromis grow! My goodness these boys have gotten huge! Both are measuring around 8” now and are absolutely stunning! The male Linni is around 7” and is considerably more reserved, although he is no weakling! Some other future breeder males for your viewing pleasure as well!

Let us know who you want offspring from!

We have officially decided on the first breeder group and our females are inbound next week. We’re excited to give this totally tubular fella some ladies! Anyone have a guess as to who it will be??

A few of my grow-outs in my 90g. Letting them grow out a bit before introducing to the big fellas. Not sure which I’m going to breed yet, but sure I’ll breed the OB Compressiceps for that yellow coloration, and the Taiwan Reef but he’s still just a little fella!
In order:
Venustus Compressiceps hybrid (2 photos for the different phases he shows)
Canary OB Compressiceps
Maleri Island OB Peacock
Iceberg Fryeri
Taiwan Reef

Nimbochromis Venustus - 3 month before/after

Males display striking blues and when they are in a dominant position, they drop their pattern to a bright yellow - this is one incredible fish!

Species Highlight today is the Dimidiochromis Strigatus aka the Sunset Hap.

This is our 6.5” male - expected to top out near 12”.

These are highly predatory haps that need 125+ gallon aquariums to house long term. Great in mixed peacock/hap tanks or they make incredible species only tanks with 1 male for every 7-10 females where the dominant male will display stunning blues and reds in full breeding dress.

We’re hoping to begin breeding this beauty next year and are looking forward to showing off the fry!
