Soon it is time for Chippy to go home. Kayla , RVT and Kiarra Chambers, vet assitant, prep Chippy to go home as well as do a final check to make sure he is ready to leave the hospital.
After Chippy has the all clear to go home it is time for him to be discharged. Vet assistant Brittany Mabry goes over home care and post op care for Chippy with his owner making sure they understand any instructions the doctor has placed for him.

And now Chippy gets to go home we will see Chippy in 1 year for his yearly Comprehensive oral and radiographic exam (Core) as well as a professional dental cleaning.

After his procedure Chippy is transferred to recovery where Rachel Dietrich,RVT takes special care to make sure Chippy is warm comfortable and pain free.

Once Dr Hoover reviews the imaging and creates a treatment plan. Chippy needed to have 1 tooth removed due to periodontal disease.
AFter Dr Hoover has completed his treatment Katie Rankin, RVT, VTS(Dentistry) proceeds with his dental cleaning.

After Chippy has been anesthetized he gets imaging done. This includes a cone beam CT scan as well as dental radiographs. Once the imaging is done Chippy is transferred to treatment for the next stage of his visit.

After check in Chippy is brought back to treatment for an exam and a premedication to help make him sleepy.
Once Chippy has fallen asleep Jess Compton ,RVT places an IV catheter and intubates him to protect his airway during his dental cleaning.
Chippy is monitored the entire time he is under general anesthesia. He is hooked up to a monitor that can monitor his heart rate, reapirations, blood pressure and more to keep him safe during his procedure.
