To our valued customers and friends:
First and foremost we hope everyone is safe and healthy.
We have been deemed an essential business and will continue our 24/7/365 hours during this terrible epidemic. Our first priority is to keep you and your family as well as our own family safe. Under normal circumstances we sanitize ourselves and our equipment after every pickup. Some of the things that we have implemented during this epidemic till it is safe to go back to business as usual are:
Keeping the recommended 6’ away from our client and Vets during the pickups.(this is one of the most difficult changes for us. We normally hug our client and tell the everything is going to be ok).
We are shipping ashes via FedEx and tracking ( at our cost) to you. We normally hand deliver the horse to your house or barn.
When not on pickups WE ARE STAYING HOME!!!
If anyone has additional questions please feel free to call us anytime @
Jeff 860-881-7802
Deb 860-304-5401
Dom 860-881-7823
Please stay safe during this difficult time and give your 4 legged friends extra hugs ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We will get though this!!!!!

A huge thank you to Jeffrey D Blaschke and his family for their professionalism and most of all their kindness through our entire experience. I felt good knowing our boy was safe with them and would be treated with the utmost care and respect. I can’t thank you enough and I strongly recommend you to all my large animal friends. 💕💕

It is with a heavy heart that I want to let you know that my magnificent pony Greystone was euthanized yesterday due to the infirmities of old age. We had a tremendous run of 19 years and he was the ripe old age of 32.6. My best life memories are of him. He will be missed by many.

Thank you so much Jeff and Dom for your compassionate care and handling of my best equine buddy during the most difficult time.

You have my highest and heartfelt recommendation. I will let all of my large-animal owners know of your incredible service.

Much appreciation of the work you two fine gentlemen do.Special thanks to Drs Jason Smith and Denise Branecky, and all the veterinarians Fairfield Equine Associates for 30 plus years of excellent care. Thanks also to Jeffrey D Blaschke and Dom Gambardella for your incredible service. And finally to my support team Ariane Mermod, Chris Nevins, Dawn Lennon, and Barbara Johnson Burian — you have my deepest gratitude.

Rest in peace Greystone.

I thought I was ok . . . it’s been a week. The business of life goes on. I thought I was okay until I held her shoes in my hand. Damn . . . 💔 My chest caved in and my heart broke again.

Thank you again to Connecticut Horse Cremation for bringing my Gidget home a week to the day after she passed. Thank you for her shoes and lock of her tail. Thoughtfully packaged, seven velvet bags of amazing memories and love. ❤️

A loving and dignified tribute to your horse.

Connecticut Horse Cremation is owned and operated by horse owners who know the heartache of losing a horse that’s a member of the family. That’s why we remain available day and night to provide our services. Respect and humane treatment are two of our guiding principles. Our company is family owned and operated by Jeff Blaschke and Dom Gambardella and has no outside employees. When you call either one of our phone numbers, an owner of the company answers. These are our cell phones and are always with us. You will not get connected to an answering service. We personally pickup each horse, see it through the entire cremation process, and hand return your beloved horse to you. We realize that losing your horse is a profoundly personal experience. For us horse owners, losing your horse can be as significant as losing a member of the family. But to often our last moments spent with our horse don’t measure up to the life we spent together. Connecticut Horse Cremation offers a humane and dignified alternative to transport and cremate your horse. We respect and honor your horse by only moving them through the use of our customized cradle system which can accommodate any size horse. The enclosed trailer we have designed is self propelled and able to get through a gate into a paddock or turnout. The trailer allows us access to your horse and gently pick him up using our cradle system. All cremations are private and intact. With the largest state of the art equipment we are able to cremate any horse, even over 3,000 pounds. All returns are personally hand delivered back to their family in a custom wood urn or scatter/burial bags. We will accommodate any special wishes you may have for you beloved horse’s final arrangements. We serve the entire Northeast region and are available 24/7, 365 days a year, with no any additional charges for nights, weekends, and holidays. We’ll also schedule ourselves to be available for a planned euthanasia with your veterinarian. Through our love of the horses, we are big supporters of horse rescues and the education of responsible horse ownership. We are members of the Durham Animal Rescue Team and have assisted in the rescue of horses down and in need assistance to get up. Our trailer has proved invaluable in slinging these horses until they were able to move on their own.
