Starting the last of our hyacinths today so they’ll be ready for our workshop 3/9. I can’t begin to express how much I’ve enjoyed the various iterations of these centerpiece planters. I light a candle, make myself a cup of ginger tea, put on excessively mellow music, and think “spring js coming, spring is coming.” I know we’re in for a warmup this week, but then we’re right back to winter. Well, it’s snowing in East Durham. I just uncovered beds so flowers don’t get smooshed & snow can do the insulating, tucked row covers into the solar shed so they won’t freeze & have come inside to find my decent gloves & let my fingers thaw. The house is full of the sounds of meetings & click clacking of remote assignments. And the fragrance of these. I had to pause to take a photo & share. Winter out there & spring in here.
