Dr. Hebert's return from paternity leave also meant a return to his volunteer work with the K9 Kitt Foundation , teaching EMTs how to treat and save police K9s who were injured in the line of duty. This most recent class was at the Avon MA Fire Department .

Please meet Odie, who visited us a few days ago for a pediatrician exam.
Odie is partially Springer Spaniel. This dog breed is known for their athleticism and loving nature, English Springer Spaniels make great family pets! They have a rich history as hunting dogs in England, valued for their agility and endurance. Their high energy levels require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

Today we honor K9 veterans who have served with bravery and loyalty. These police and military dogs have made incredible sacrifices. And we want to specifically remember and honor Kitt, who gave his life to save his partner Officer William Cushing and two other officers when a suspect opened fire on them on June 4th, 2021. DAH's Dr. Hebert is deeply involved in K9 Kitt Foundation as their Chief Veterinary Officer when he trains first responders to treat injured K-9's in the field as part of Nero's Law.

Basil Alfredo visited us a couple of weeks ago. The Schnauzer is truly remarkable with its distinctive beard and expressive eyebrows, coming in miniature, standard, and giant sizes. Its origins trace back to Germany, and it's celebrated for its intelligence and lively nature. However, it's important to be mindful of potential health issues such as eye problems and skin allergies.
