Good Saturday morning everyone. I am feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I have managed to herd the farm cats and get them fed. Played a little ball with mom. My mom joined a canine diabetes group. They gave her lots of good information. My mom says my blood sugars are better controlled. Mom made me some good mid day soup that I can have at noon and it doesn’t elevate my blood sugars. I have another follow up appointment on Friday. Hoping for good numbers. My mom says I need to gain a little weight so we are hoping I have a gain and not another loss.

Mom also says I need to remind everyone that we will be at Helping Hands Humane Society on December 7 for the Santa Paws event. Come on out and bring your dogs for a little Christmas fun.

Suede here. I asked my mom if I could steal this video she took of me. I want to let everyone know I’m doing ok. Getting better every day. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I feel like a very lucky doggo that I have a mom and grandma that are nurses to help take care of me. Love you all.

We are sad to say we won’t be at the Tails and Ales event tomorrow at Lake Shawnee. Suede’s illness continues and he still requires monitoring and scheduled meals. Thank you

Suede’s mom here with a brief update. Our prayers have been answered. Suede got to come home yesterday. He’s doing well. Taking it easy. Repeat focal ultrasound on Friday. Let’s hope the inflammation continues to go down. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Suede’s mom again. Suede remains in the icu and will be there all weekend. Surgery was canceled at the last minute due to a thrombus on his spleen. Medical management only. He is improving and as long as he continues to do so, he could come home Monday. Please continue to keep our sweet boy in your prayers. 🙏🙏💜💜

Suede’s mom here. Suede remains hospitalized with surgery plans for tomorrow afternoon. Pray for our sweet boy 💜💜🙏🙏

Update on Suede. He has been admitted to the ICU at Kansas State University and diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis and new onset diabetes. They are concerned about his large jump in his blood sugar from yesterday and will be doing an ultrasound of his pancreas. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. 💜🙏

This is Suede’s mom. I wanted everyone to know Suede is having a hard time. He started vomiting yesterday. We took him to KSU vet they were suspicious of an obstruction. They saw “material” on X-rays but didn’t think it was obstructing anything. He’s been NPO except water and is to have repeat xrays today. Please pray for our sweet boy. 💜💜💜
