Sandra “Sam” McCarthy &
Robin Buddecke to the Team!
Sam McCarthy has been a professional horseman for over twenty-five years. Â She has owned, competed, coached riders, and trained horses from beginners through National medal finals and produced top hunters and jumpers.
Her coaching career includes qualifying riders for US Pony Finals, Medal /Maclay Finals, USET finals, and qualified horses for Incentive, as well as Zone Junior Hunter Champions, and competing at all indoor finals.
As the head coach and director of University of Findlay’s four-year degree program, students under her coaching were undefeated during regular season for 4 years in a row and set many Individual records as well.  Most of the students that attended UF during her tenure are currently working in the equine industry as trainers or managers. Â
Sam also judges, gives clinics, is involved in horse show management, and is working towards her USEF steward license.
Robin is a lifelong professional horseman, At 18 years old, Robin became an assistant trainer for Mike McCormick, following that he worked for a variety of professionals as a rider/ trainer, including Diane Grod, Andy Kocher & Dennis Mitchell.
Robin produced and showed famous equitation horse, Grappa, regular working hunter Idle Hour, and several Grandprix horses throughout his career.
He’s also worked in Europe.
As a coach, Robin has trained both amateurs and professionals , from short stirrup through all of the major equitation finals.

Robin has competed venues such as Spruce Meadows. Pin Oak, Kansas City, Ft Worth, Traders Point, Denver, Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Chagrin.
Most of his career has been based in Southern California, Del Mar.
