Imma be honest yall! I HATE dog parks, but i know they will continue to be built and people will continue to use them! The least i can do is theow some education your way and hope you implement it the next time you go! 1- leave your toys and treats at home! Your dog may not mind sharing but i promise you there will be another dog that is not going to want to take turns. Treats and toys and the TOP things dogs respurce guard i recommend avoiding all together, if you want to train or play with the chuck it go to a regular park or hangout outside of the dog park. A toy is not worth an injury. Your dogs there for the digs anyways.2- Avoid standing all stiff with your arms crossed. This can set your dog into defense mode or cause them to respurce guard you. This may not apply to all dogs but ove seen it far to many times. Keep loose and keep moving.3- Learn basic dog body language. Step in if your dogs being a bully or getting bullied beforw it escalates. There are 99.9% of the time signs before fight breaks out! That sh*t can be prevented. Doggy language by lili chin is a great resource!4- DO NOT bring your undersocailized/reactive dog to the dog park to geth them socialized. Youre going to set them uo for failure! Instead find a reputable trainer who can help you safely socialize your dog. PRO TIP- if your dogs not playing with the dogs at the dog park ir just doesnt look like they enjoy it, they PROBABLY DONT. Important to note- if your dog is struggling in the parking lot DO NOT go into the store. If they can’t handle being outside the store they will be a wreck inside of the store. I always recommend practicing for 2-5 minutes in the parking lot just to warm up before going into the store. ALWAYS bring high value treats when doing public outings to keep your dogs attention.
Leash work group class, learning how to control your dog on leash in a chaotic environment with proper leash communication! I have awesome clients who are doing an awesome job working with their dogs.

This is one of the most important commands we can teach our dogs! Dogs don’t understand the difference between toxic and tasty, so it’s our job as RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS👏🏼 To let them know what is NOT safe to eat by teaching them “leave it”!
In our group classes we teach you every step of the training process so when you go home and practice for a week and your dog is a pro at step 1&2 you know what to do next! We always encourage practicing at home because dog training needs time and consistency so see those sweet results!
Last nights group class was AMAZING! So many of you have been doing your homework and it shows! We worked on a little bit of leash work along with place work! Our main goal with that is class was to help owners really get comfortable with leash pressure, knowing when to apply pressure up, when to keep walking, and when to back up/turn around! We also wanted to help our doggy clients learn some calm around other dogs friends, it was amazing to see how well they were able to hold the place command while other dogs excitedly walked around them! HUGE SHOUT OUT TO @rockwellcharterhigh for letting us hold our classes in their facility!

We offer free group classes to the Public every Wednesday at 8 pm! Take advantage of this amazing offer while it lasts!
During these group classes we focus on teaching you and your dog how to effectively communicate with eachother, understand eachother, and work through trials together.
