These wonderful helpers from Salt City Scrubbin came over today and helped with getting the rooster enclosure doors working right again!These roosters saved from the fighting ring really have my heart! These handsome boys have lived through enough! It’s so important to us that they get a great space free from harm and fear! These roosters are incredible if you have not visited them we encourage you too!The rooster enclosure is still in need of a sponsor! We do it as a fundraising project for the Friends In Need Animal Sanctuary with proceeds going to help with the nonprofit organization’s efforts.

Sprinkles
Monday animal spot light! If you have not met sprinkles you are missing out!!! Sprinkles was a surprise package that has brought so much joy to the sanctuary!!! She is full of energy and curiosity! Sprinkles mom is Donut she was one of the first goats we rescued when her mother abandoned her! Goats are amazing animals!!!! Sprinkles and Donut are still looking for a sponsor!
Opsie, whopsi and Dangit
Todays animal spotlight is on two of our favorite residents! Opsie and Whopsie ! These two characters came into our lives one warm July morning! We were fostering a pair of supposedly sterile farm pigs. Well you guessed it they were not sterile!!! It was something not planned but such a blessing! The two brothers reside here while their brother lives at another sanctuary. Pigs are such great animals! Very intelligent, personality overload and great cuddles! Monday Animal Spot Light
Many of the visitors that come here are not aware that we also work with aquatic friends! We a have a warm fishroom here that makes this possible! We have rescue fish, axolotls , turtles and these cuties!
We have three of them here! Ghost-Orange lobsters. They are really a type of crawfish found in temperate waters of Mexico. These three came to us when a person had them and found that they are fish eaters! ( Classic not doing your research before you get a pet! )
We had an empty large aquarium so we set it up for these three.
They are very interesting to say the least! Here at Friends In Need Animal Sanctuary they eat a pellet formulated just for crawfish. They have lots of space and rocks to climb on!
