When you put the work in it’ll show that you did.
First night off the lunge line! 🦾🦾
Pumpkin and Natalie night 2
Night #2 with “Assistant” student Natalie. We were still on the lung line but our circle was almost as big as the arena! She says we are getting somewhere and I couldn’t agree more!
Natalie has decided to dedicate her lessons to helping me make Pumpkin the next Chipper. So after working with Pumpkin over break she took the reins and we started back from the ground base. Pumpkin is an amazing horse and tries so hard she just gets nervous here and there when the kids ride her so having her on the lung line helps give confidence back that everything will be just fine. With that Natalie was the first Student to lope her. ❤️❤️
Some may use a sack of feed, some use limber kids. 😂 I am sooo proud of my students for always being so willing and helpful when they come out.
Also shout out to Kool Kingdom for putting such a good mind on this little one! I do can’t wait for him!
I forgot to post Snyper and I’s first OFFICIAL run back on here from last weekend.
We were just one placing out of the money on a standard pattern (as big as they can get) which in my book is not bad for not running for 8 months. Here’s to more adventures!
Thank you Rose Gold pony for the ride. ❤️
Don’t mind us over here herding our chickens 🐔 out of the arena so they don’t get hurt.
Welp it snowed and then melted and I was kind of bummed but then it snowed AGAIN! So we played in it and did some sledding 🛷. Horse lessons with me aren’t always serious 🧐 I try hard to keep it fun!
“Can I run a couple laps, because I just have a lot of energy. “ 😂😂
So we work on trotting in hand.
Come for a ride with Snyper King and I. ❤️❤️😅
Confidence is beaming already this year! First time loping solidly with two hands on the reins!
Great job Evie!
I mean sometimes you have to walk/run where your riding. This time it was because she wouldn’t stay on the fence. 🤦🏻♀️
Confidence is my biggest goal for my students. And this one has had a tough time getting that. But tonight the first thing she says is I’m loping tonight! And I couldn’t get her to stop! I’m so proud of you Makayla!
And Day 31:
Snyper and I got a nice relaxing 20 min ride in before the smoke rolled in and in between some lessons.
He gets to not be worked soo hard but still worked for the next month and then will probably get a month or so off before we start back up on another season of racing!
Remember if you stick with it you’ll definitely achieve it. Just give it plenty of time!
Day 29: Come take a ride with me!
Snyper got just a solid work out in testing a new set up for racing. When your horse will carry themselves nicely they stop nicely and lope off beautiful as well.
1 day left in the challenge! ( I don’t count the day we are on).
Be safe and aware of your surroundings with this smoke.
Thank you 😊 Tammy Daw for spiffing up our feed buckets! Not only do each horse have their own bucket BUT their feed pan matches!
Day 6: We believed in ourselves. Today was race day, we buckled down got up and went and put our last week of riding to the test. All the solid time we spent together as a partnership. We came back and placed 2d in the 3D not normally where we place nor where I want to be. BUT after being off and not seeing this arena in a year we didn’t do half bad. Every day I swing a leg over this gray horse I am thankful for. He definitely pushes me to be just that much better and the believe that much more in myself. I hope you guys feel the same about your horse. Because no ride should be easy but if it’s easy it should be fun. #funrides #riding #grayhorse #gunsrollin #day6 #snyper #barrelhorse #barrelracing #raceday #wetsaddlepadchallenge #wetsaddlepads #brokehorses #goodhorses
A nice little ride on my Rose Gold Pony is what the night called for. ❤️
