We are so thankful for our amazing community! Last night our shelter manager got stuck in Vail while she was transporting 4 cats and 2 dogs. These poor animals came all the way from New Mexico to Silverthorne where they were taken into our custody to make the drive back to Eagle. Unfortunately, I-70 was closed down for hours and they were stranded! Luckily, our amazing friends at Vail Spa Condominiums opened their doors and let the group hang out for hours until the highway opened back up!

Thank you to Vail Spa Condominiums for helping us out, we can't thank you enough for your hospitality during a stressful time! The 2 pups and 4 cats are all settled in at the shelter and will be up for adoption next week!

Meet Lilly!

Lilly is an adorably sweet and silly 1 year old mixed breed pup who is looking for adventure! This beautiful girl was surrendered to our shelter when her family could no longer care for her. She is a bit shy and can take a few minutes to warm up but once she knows you are there to play, she is all yours! Lilly should do well in a home with another friendly pup as well as kids and possibly confident cats.

Miss Lilly is learning how to walk on leash and can be a bit of a door dasher in her kennel so we recommend that her new owner keep her on leash until she can gain confidence and trust. This pretty girl is going to be a wonderful companion, don't miss out on your chance to meet her!

Miss Sparrow is still waiting for a snuggle buddy to soak up the sun with her!

This sweet girl can be shy meeting new people but once she trusts you she is the most loving little gal who just wants to cuddle and hang out with you!

Sparrow has been waiting longer than any other cat at our shelter for her forever family to take her home. Come meet Sparrow, we know this girl will steal your heart!

Update: No one came to claim this sweet girl. Her new name is Ellie Mae and after she is spayed and checked out by our vet, she will be up for adoption! Keep an eye out for this gentle gal!

Meet Ginger!

Ginger is a fun loving and spunky 4.5 month old pup that is ready for adventure! This sweet mixed breed gal came to us all the way from Carlsbad, New Mexico and she is so excited to meet her new forever family here in Colorado and start living the good life!

Ginger is a social and outgoing pup who loves meeting new friends and playing. We think Ginger will do best in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and have healthy outlets to express her energy. Ginger should do well in a home with other friendly dogs and kids! Ginger is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her puppy vaccines! Come meet this cutie today!

Meet Pelican and Flamingo! These adorable 2 month old neutered male puppies are so excited to find their forever homes! They both do well with other friendly pups, kids and maybe even cats. They are up to date on their puppy vaccines, deworming and have been microchipped. Come meet these two goofballs today!

Meet Sunshine!

Sunshine is a beautiful and curious Budgie that is looking for her forever home! Sunshine came to us as a stray so we don't know much about her background. She is a bit shy but loves to watch her bird television (yes, we have bird television at the shelter!) and chat with people as they walk by. Come by and meet this gorgeous gal!

"Shayla is a cute as can be 2.5 month old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a loving forever family to call her own!
This adorable little lady is a Parvo survivor that made the long trip up all the way from New Mexico to meet her new family here in the mountains! Shayla is a sassy and outgoing little girl who loves to snuggle up on your lap or prance around beside you on walks around the neighborhood. This cutie is going to be a great companion pup as she seems to get along well with other friendly dogs, cats, and kids! Shayla is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her puppy vaccines! At only 2.5 pounds , this pint-sized cutie is sure to steal your heart!

We are excited to announce that we will be increasing our hours, starting January 12th! We will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 10am-2pm. We hope this will give our potential adopters more chances to come in and meet the animals as well as more volunteer opportunities.
