Primal Pet Foods began thanks to a pup named Luna. In early 2000, Luna started showing early signs of renal failure. After putting her on a raw diet, her owner, Matt saw a huge improvement in her and wanted to provide that same hope for other pet parents. So he launched Primal Pet Foods!

Primal is made in Fairfield, California with all human-grade ingredients. Primal uses all certified organic produce as their main source of vitamins and minerals. They use HPP (high-pressure processing) and “test and hold” procedures to ensure that no bacteria is in the food when it leaves their kitchen.

Northwest Naturals is a family-owned brand made in Portland, Oregon since 2004. What began as a human-grade meat processing company in 1956 eventually became a source of high-quality raw food for pets, using a USDA facility!

They use HPP (high-pressure processing) to ensure that all the food leaving their kitchen is safe for your pet’s bowl. All of their produce comes from local farms in Oregon and Washington. Multi-dog or large dog household? Northwest Naturals offers 15lb & 25lb bulk boxes as a more cost-effective way to include raw in your pup’s diet!

It floats, it flies, it sticks, it puffs. It’s curly, wavy, straight, coarse, soft and fluffy. You’ll find it on your pillow, clothes, car, and food. It fills the vacuum, weaves into bird nests, and finds its way under all the furniture. At times our pets’ fur can feel tough to keep under control. Sometimes it’s dry and itchy, sometimes it’s excessive, but all the time it’s a wispy little reminder that there’s a four-legged family member who occupies our home and greets us with such excitement that we feel loved every time we walk in the door.

Pet fur is flying, and during this season we’ve got a few things to help! Every pet has a different type of coat, and we’ve got specific brushes and shampoos to help cater to them. Our Shed Happens sale features all things to help boost skin & coat health, and clean up all the excess fur!

Happy 1st Bark-Day, Juneau! 🥳

On any given day, you can find Juneau wandering through the office, gently nudging people in hopes of giving them his paw to pet, (one of his favorite pastimes.) He greets the team as they arrive, standing by to help with any lunch they get too full to finish, and his grin brightens our day as he tries to remind us of those treats in the desk drawer. He brings daily bursts of laughter as he barks at things that seem scary to him, (most recently a piece of kibble in his water bowl,) and if you head outside, he will show you that the best way to get off a curb is by jumping high with all four paws.

In his free time, Juneau enjoys chewing on Icelandic lamb horns, chasing his Tail Teaser toy, and annoying his big sister Phoebe until she chases him around the yard.

He’s a lovable, gentle fella, and we couldn’t be more grateful for him!
