Just got this from our dog training club. Please, read and check on your pets! Try to keep your dogs more contained to avoid being infected until it’s known better what’s going on and they are checked.

Pretty proud of the team Diesel and Obsidian who passed Character test during OG Idaho trial this weekend. They got to walk by other dog, handle noises, look for a toy, do separation and bunch of other things. Diesel was all worried if he can handle her, but he did a great job as a Junior handler. He was all beaming with happiness that he got to do real trial test in front of the real judge! Big thanks to all our friends from OG Idaho for working with both of them and supporting them along the journey!

You know you got a flex when your puppies rock! Meet Gus (Sig x Zima, A litter). He is not just a gorgeous animal, but also a very good boy! Gus won High Score for FO division (Family Obedience) at Working Dogs of America trial held by Blue Line K-9 on 5/6/23. By the way, this gorgeous animal was a tiny little runt of the litter! Great job, Gus and his owner Debbie Turner who did a fantastic job training him!

If you ever tried to train your dog you will understand… The hardest part is proving a judge during the trial that your dog is mostly on the left, while he is acting like he is always on the right.

He passed 8 out of 14 searches: 2 first places (Excellent Containers and Excellent Buried), 2 second places (Advanced Interior and Excellent Buried) and 1 fourth place (Advanced Interior). He also finished 2 element titles: Advanced Interior title (SIA) and Excellent Containers title (SCE). Last picture is how Sig feels after 2 day ScentWork trial 😂😂😂

Yes! Wear your puppy/dog by doing training - Obedience, ScentWork, Rally! 15 minutes of training a day will do as much to wear them out as 1 hour of ball fetch, but also provide you with a very well behaved dog after awhile! Physical exercise builds endurance and requires increasing the amount as you go. Choose training!

It takes a lot of play to learn to do some work… 😬 He usually does more work, but it was a day after ScentWork trial and he refused to work. So he played while all other dogs worked on Obedience (not the top fun thing to do, to be honest). It was well deserved though! 🤷‍♀️

Just got done with 2-day ScentWork trial by ICCKC. Sig did 10 runs, passed 7 of them, got 4 4th places (yeah, we are not rushing through searches, but staying rather consistent lol) and finished 2 element titles: Advanced Buried (SBA) and Advanced Containers (SCA). He is moving to Excellent levels in Buried and Containers. He also got a passing run for each Advanced Exterior and Advanced Interior, but still has couple runs to go to finish those elements. I think we did pretty good for being back to ScentWork trial after 1.5 years.

So pending AKC Sig will be:

Diesel (7 years old) is doing bitework with Astra 😂😂😂 They both love it! Granted he needs help holding her back most of the time, but he will get stronger… eventually 😂😂😂

This awesome dog Sig passed his BH (beginning obedience IGP title) and TR (beginning tracking title) this week end in a trial by OGIdaho working dog club 😎 Now we are off to work on IGP 1 prepping for the fall trial 😬

We discovered Mighty dog toys. They have 6 (six!!!) squeakers in each toy! Our dogs are confused why this animal won’t stop squeaking even after tearing out a squeaker!

Meet Baikal. He came to us from Germany. We reserved him in August. When our life changed forever I almost cancelled him, but then kids and I decided to go through with Cheyenne’s last major decision. Baikal came over Thanksgiving week. He is perfect! I just wish Cheyenne was here to enjoy him…
