Nova, being a puppy, was being a little rude playing with the big dogs. So I put her on leash, and then R***r stole the leash, and did all the work for me 🤣 We also have golden retriever central for Spring Break!

Week 1 of Bogey's board and train is complete! Even in just 1 week, he is a different dog! A couple reasons he came to me because he was dragging his owner around when on leash, and when he saw any distractions he would go crazy and completely ignore his owners. Not only is he walking nicely on leash, easily redirected away from distractions, but he is doing down stays next to nosey horse distractions! GOOD BOY BOGEY!!!

Meet R***r!

R***r is a purebred 10 week old German Shepherd looking for his forever home! He absolutely loves people, including children, and bonds strongly. Has done great with the dozen or so other dogs he has met, but he can be a little pushy since he is still learning his manners. I would imagine he would chase cats, but is young enough to train not to. Crate trained and doing great with potty training. Up to date with shots. Not neutered.

This boy is going to be BIG, likely around 90lbs. He is FULL PUPPY, so he is destructive, will chew anything not put up, p*e on your rug if not watched closely! Needs a good amount of exercise, and will need a LOT of exercise when he is about 6 months-3yrs....possibly longer. He needs someone who is committed to training, he is very smart, already knows a few commands, but we need to keep that puppy brain busy!

He was owner surrendered to me, and I will be selective about his placement. There will be an adoption fee, and depending on your experience with large breeds, I may require proof of signing up for a puppy or basic obedience class. (The training class does not have to be with me.) Some downfalls of German Shepherds include: they shed like crazy. They can be prone to separation anxiety if you are not careful with making sure they have some alone time. They are prone to ACL tears, arthritis and hip dysplasia, they also love to steal and eat things they are not supposed to- you will have vet bills from this dog at some point!
