Mission Statement
Clifford’s Army Rescue Extravaganza (C.A.R.E.) aims to improve the quality of life for homeless or otherwise struggling companion animals within Cleveland County, North Carolina and beyond. To do so, we leverage a dedicated group of local volunteers, supporters and fellow rescue organizations. We firmly believe that although we cannot possibly save every animal in need, it does
not mean we cannot try. Relying solely on volunteer space, time and effort, C.A.R.E. rescues abused, neglected or abandoned animals from kill shelters, owner surrenders, and general abandonment throughout Cleveland County and surrounding areas. The organization fosters between 120 to 150 animals at any given time, partnering with local veterinary clinics, hospitals, trainers, and fellow non profits to ensure that each animal receives the vaccinations, spay/neuter,medical procedures and training it may require for lifelong well-being and success –regardless of cost. works to find each animal a permanent, loving home through social media exposure, connections with fellow rescues, and frequent community wide adoption events. C.A.R.E also works to combat animal homelessness proactively. Working with local donors and veterinary service providers, C.A.R.E. provides food, basic supplies, vaccinations, reduced-cost spay/neuter procedures, and/or other medical treatment to owners currently unable to meet their pets’ needs. also engages in community outreach and public education, delivering fundraisers, delivering fundraisers, programming, and community events that bring awareness of animal rescue and core principles of responsible pet ownership to both youths and adults. Please visit our website for the dogs/puppies that are currently available for adoption. Once all vetting is complete and evaluations complete, they are posted. Link to our on line application is also on the website. We do on line application review, home visit and then meet and greet. We will travel up to two hours one way to facilitate home visits. We do not do virtual visits. www.cliffordsarmyrescue.com
