Dusten brings decades of wisdom and experience as an animal behaviorist; Kim brings exuberance and passion for hospitality, animals and the outdoors. We are humbled by and grateful for what God has entrusted to

The last several years have looked nothing like we thought they would, empowering us to grow into a more robust relationship with our Creator. Gratny Ranches is a family-focused business that seeks to Glorify God with an abundance of creatures placed in our care.

Our blessings are in the form of horses, cattle, sheep and dogs on property located 25 minutes west of the Des Moines metro. We’ve come to understand that the creatures under our watchful eye aren’t the same as others found in rural spaces across the Midwest. Each animal type signifies an opportunity for us to create, nurture and sustain relationships with the wide variety of humans that show up.

The horses in our space are ones we board, train and own. They range from a Clydesdale stallion available for breeding, to ranch-trained quarter horse brood mares and geldings. The stud and geldings are our partners in coaching humans through growth and change with our business fullCIRCLE creative + coaching; they help us teach riders biblically-based horsemanship; and are instrumental in illustrating how to apply God’s word to daily life at Right Turn Cowboy Church.

The cattle are rodeo bucking stock. Their genetics have been cultivated for more than 30 years in connection with our family in Paris, Texas. We’re grateful for the relationships formed while traveling to futurities and bull-riding competitions across the United States.
