We are privileged to have four separate barns on our premises, two of which are available for lease by outside trainers. Come visit! We have a huge indoor and outdoor, many nice stalls, turnout, and excellent care. Opening March 1, 2012. We lease barns to outside trainers who provide their own programs to their clients. This has been a year that has not been as planned but i decided to make lemonade out of lemons. I have been sidelined by injuries so Limoncello got to go to "camp" with Alex Robertson. After qualifying for regionals at both PSG and I1, he wound up in the medals in both events in Region 1. Way to go Alex and Limoncello!

Private, beautiful horse barn looking for experienced full-time horse barn help for 30 to 40 hours a week. Applicant should have solid experience caring for horses, able to work independently, be very tidy and physically fit. Chores include cleaning stalls, water buckets, turnout, feeding, sweeping and grooming. Mornings required starting at 7 am or earlier. Pay is very competitive for the right person. This could work for a college student or someone with an afternoon or evening job. Once again, a very successful dressage clinic with Vera Kessels last weekend. Thank you Vera! All of the horses worked well and showed great improvement. Limoncello’s 5th show of the season was at historic Gladstone where he again excelled at both PSG and I1, while I completed my final weeks of shoulder therapy (and one week of hard earned vacation). It is a wrap and yesterday he came back to me as fit and polished as ever with super promt and easy aids .After 3 months of forced rest and therapy, my shoulder is awesome and today not once did I worry about it or feel any pain. What a relief. Looking forward to perfecting the connection that we did so much to deepen in Florida this winter. Onward. Luckily for me, his return coincided with Vera Kessels’ visit so I had fabulous instruction and got right back to work. Thank you Alex Robertson for fabulous relaxed riding during my break and Vera for all the help getting us to this point with confidence and higher skill. And to Steve Nelson for driving 12 hours straight immediately after returning from overseas to get him shipped back in time for this weekend. What a team!

Limoncellos 4th show of the season busted into I1 with a 67! Congrats Alex Robertson, I’m so happy that I put my shoulder rehab time to good use, with you piloting this talented horse through PSG and now I1 getting tons of show miles and very impressive results. I have meanwhile gotten kicked out of PT because I’m healing so well and looking forward to getting him home and picking up the reins myself in less than 2 weeks. Wow what a start! I am so grateful all around.

Limoncello’s third show at PSG was today. his second show he was 69.1 and 69.5, today a bit of tension 66.6 but still on top. Looking forward to tomorrow. Thank you Alex Robinson for your excellent riding!

The first dressage clinic of the year with Vera Kessels took place this past weekend. It was great! Here are some pictures. There are 5 more scheduled this summer with the next one on June 20 and 21. Great riding and lots of great instruction. Thank you Vera!

Limoncellos FEI debut is all I could have hoped for, a great start to a promising career, with a 63 and second place at PSG, despite mass commotion in the warm up with three loud groomers buzzing around the hunter ring immediately next door. And a first place at 4th-3. Lots to work on but impressive energy and presence. Well done Alex Robinson.

And, I graduated from my shoulder sling so it won’t be long before I’m back in the saddle. Yay.

A perfect spring day in our huge arena. Great to have Elivia home and to have an awesome rider for her - Becca Clawson - while I recover from shoulder surgery. Our barns are full and this place is full of interesting people and horses. More to come!

Yesterday we had a special breakfast to recognize our hard working staff for getting through the Buffalo winter with smiles on their faces, happy clients and healthy horses. After struggling post COVID to find solid, mature and caring help, we somehow hit the lottery. Our clients had things to say such as this:

“We had a great winter at your farm. Drama free and easy…..we will be back.”

“Beautifully maintained farm. Carol and Steve have restored and lovingly cared for it as in times past under legendary Doris and Missy Clark. Staff is attentive. There are a variety of pastures and paddocks. Footing is excellent in both arenas. Access to trails and a field for hacking- weather permitting. Vibe is quiet, respectful, and peaceful.”

It takes a village and we are very thankful for Alexa, Amy and Kristen.

Florida continues to be the most fabulous winter training ground for talented horses. Limoncellos changes are huge but always correct. Working on that PSG test. And, he’s getting really good at stretching after the training.
