Angel Fund Christmas Miracle Story:
Meet King Julian! Julian was trapped and brought to us by Dr. Clare over the summer. Our Angel Fund covered his vaccines, neuter, and basic vet care until he was rehomed to a wonderful family. A few weeks after adoption, Julian and his brother were playing chase, and Julian snuck outside and jumped off the balcony. He was impaled by a tomato cage that was off the deck. His Angel family rushed him into the office after carefully cutting the poles and packing the wounds. Dr. Anne and Dr. Andrew assessed him and immediately jumped into action. He was prepped for surgery, and we successfully removed a 14 inch spike from his abdomen. We are still not sure how, but the spike miraculously missed every vital organ in his abdomen. He stayed with us for 1 week while he healed from surgery and was sent home with instructions NOT to jump off any more balconies! He is now helping his Angel family decorate the Christmas tree for his very first Christmas.
Our Angel Fund makes it possible to help in extremely difficult cases like this. We couldn't do this without donations throughout the year. If you'd like to donate next time you're in the office, just ask one of the staff members where you can donate!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by for pictures with Santa today. The fundraiser brought in $1265 today! A very special thank you to Santa and his elves who tranform the office into a winter wonderland. We will ve calling our winners on Monday but here is a our winner video!

Santa will be here on the 23rd and we need your help!! We are looking for raffle basket donations! 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

If you’re interested in donating one please drop it off at the office no later than 11/21!

We hope to see everyone on the 23rd from 2-5pm for adorable pet photos with Santa and to help raise some money for our Angel Fund. Without this fund we would not be able to help animals in need. Dr. Andrew will be here to meet all of you as well! We are looking forward to it!

Tis the season for holiday photos! And what’s better than a photo with Santa? A pet photo with Santa!

Join us for a seasonal photo op benefiting a wonderful cause. All proceeds will go directly to our Angel Fund, which helps provide medical care for sick and injured animals who may not otherwise receive the care they need.

When: Saturday, November 23rd from 2 pm - 5 pm
What: A festive pic of your pet with St. Nick
Where: Compassion Animal Hospital
Cost: $20 per person

You’ll receive your pictures via email within 7-10 days, but the fun will be delivered immediately—hope to see you there!

We enjoyed our own little Halloween costume today. Lindsey is a pre-vet student that is aspiring to be just like her super hero DR. ANNE! Her costume comes fully loaded with surgical gown, banana socks, samurai surgery cap, and of course MONTY!

We would like to let everyone know that Dr. Alaina and Hollyn have made the transition to emergency medicine and will be sharing their skill and knowledge at Mason Dixon Emergency Center. We will miss them at Compassion but know that the world needs as many emergency vet heroes as possible. We wish them both nothing but the very best in their future endeavor and thank them for their dedication to our patients over the last few years.
Dr. Anne, Dr. Andrew, and Dr. Clare will be taking over Dr. Alaina's patient case load moving forward. Let's send them off with some LOVE! ♥️🐩🐈‍⬛🐇🦔🐏🐍🐓🐖
