Looking for a purr-fect way to spread some love this Valentine’s Day? Send a kiss to your favorite adoptable cat or a beloved furry friend of your own🐾❤️

For just a $5 donation, you can send a kiss that will be lovingly displayed around the adoption center now through the end of February.
Your donation will help provide food, shelter, and medical care for the wonderful kitties in our care as they wait for their forever homes. 🏡🐱

How it works:
1. Donate $5 (or more!). You can donate in person Tuesdays/Thursdays 6-8pm and Fridays/Saturdays 12-5pm or through Venmo -Beginnings-22. Make sure to include the name of the furry friend or adoptable cat you’re sending your kiss to! Meet Jack! He is new to NBAR, but quickly a volunteer favorite 🤩

Jack is a 9-year-old gray tabby sweetheart with a heart full of love to share. This mellow gentleman adores pets and will charm you with his affectionate head bops when he wants attention. Jack enjoys being held and sitting on our volunteers laps. He’s the true definition of a loyal companion. Jack loves spending his days gazing out windows or doors, taking in the world around him. Don’t let his missing eye fool you—it doesn’t slow him down one bit! With playful bursts of energy, Jack lights up at the sight of a wand toy, batting and chasing with delight.

Whether as your one-and-only or alongside another easygoing feline, Jack is ready to find his forever home and become the loyal companion you’ve been searching for.

On Monday, December 30 one of our volunteers received a desperate call from Garden State in East Brunswick. An EB resident brought in an injured kitten they allegedly found, but when asked to call Animal Control to report, they went to the car and left which abandoned this kitten there needing help. Although we do not know the full history behind, we willingly stepped in to get who we named now, Shrimp the care she needed.

She had X-Rays done and a full diagnostic work up and concluded she has a fractured pelvis. Shrimp is currently on rest with one of our amazing fosters, but we need help covering these expenses that we did not expect. We are looking to raise 781 dollars to help cover which is only the start to her recovery.

Please help us help our little Shrimp 🍤 she is as sweet as can be! Us stepping in helped her not be euthanized without a place to go and allowed her to be out of pain, however we cannot help her without the support of donations towards the medical expenses that have occurred.

No donation is too small 💜

Meet Patti!

Patti is an adorable 8-month-old female kitten with a heart-melting personality.

Patti is a petite and pretty little lady who loves being the center of attention—she’s always ready to be in your face for pets and cuddles. She purrs non-stop while being loved on by people. Patti has a playful streak and enjoys chasing all kinds of toys, especially springs, darting and pouncing with kitten-like energy that will entertain you hours on end.

As Patti spent a lot of time growing up in her foster home with kids, dogs, and other cats, she would be a great addition to almost any home.

Patti has recently moved into our adoption room from her foster home and is overwhelmed on the transition of our busy environemnt and hides under blankets or her litter box. She can not wait to get back into a home environment to flourish again with her great personality. Please consider adopting Patti to help her get her wish!

Meet Chance! ✨

Chance is a 2.5-year-old gray and white tabby who returns to our care after being surrendered through no fault of his own. While he is confused about life at the rescue, he continues to be a sweet loving boy who accepts all the pets you give him. Chance has been curious about our space and enjoys hanging in the cat tree taking in the view. Chance loves to receive lots of pets and plays well with the other cats in our care.

Chance can be adopted as your one and only or with another friendly cat. Can you open your heart to give Chance his true forever home?
