It’s going to be quite cold and windy for the next week plus so I spent some time this evening stuffing cages with lots of hay for buns to snug up in to even though they seem completely unbothered by the weather. I love how hardy these harlequins and silver fox are! 🌬️🌬️🌬️🌬️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

It’s been a long time since we posted 💁🏻‍♀️ Hidden Treasures took a huge step back from breeding and showing the last few months but the last 8 bunnies in the rabbitry are living their best life just chilling. Hibernating for now but planning for some magpie litters in the spring 🤩😍

Herd reduction : 12 purebred, pedigreed Silver Fox rabbits available. 11 blacks, 1 blue doe. All breeding age and show quality. CHEAP! We just got into this breed to try to rekindle our interest in breeding and showing but unfortunately we are just too busy with other things in our lives at this time. Special deals (read - free!) to youth breeders. These rabbits are too nice to cull but I will not hold them for much longer. I will not ship 12 rabbits. This is pickup only. A fun day showing at Catskill region show! Malden Bridge Hoppers showed in Open for the first time instead of Youth and won BOG, BOSG, BOS, and BOB! Show B with her two homebred black Japanese Harlequins! She also had great placements in show A and C with her rabbits. Hidden Treasure’s new French Angora buck Stormy consistently won BOSG in show A, B, and C, and we have officially begun our journey showing and breeding Silver Fox with our young senior buck who held steadily in the middle of the senior buck class. A decent start!

This past weekend we attended our favorite show of the year Cayuga lake rabbit and cavy festival! As always it was a ton of fun and a great weekend for Hidden Treasures Rabbitry! Hidden Treasures blue Japanese Harlequin sr doe “My NEW Beauty” won Best of Group and Best of Breed in every single show this weekend! ABCDE! what a gorgeous animal, I am so lucky to have her! I guess it’s time to breed her 🤔😍 We also had 2 Best Opposite S*x of Group with our handsome black magpie buck Wicket, love that guy 🥰 Our senior Harlequin does did great as well! This is such a fun breed I truly enjoy them! Hidden Treasures Crème D’Argents were also a force to be reckoned with. My husband took Best of Breed with his senior Crème does, two of which were home bred, 4 out of 5 shows! That felt pretty awesome and definitely fueled our desire to continue working hard on breeding and showing quality crèmes. That brings us around to a bit of a sad note. We have come to the decision that Hidden Treasures will no longer be breeding Argente Bruns and this was our last showing with our original breed. We have a very small rabbitry and at this point we are choosing to make room and focus on our other breeds. Thank you to all the breeders and rabbit buyers that have supported Hidden Treasures Argente Bruns the last 6 years!! This may not be forever as I still absolutely love the breed and I will still be seeing everyone at the shows ♥️🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰 Oh! And I’m not sure how I forgot the BEST part of the weekend - Joanna and Pirate 🏴‍☠️ making their debut at Hopping! 🤣😂♥️ 4th out of 10 both days! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Joanna’s rabbitry Malden Bridge Hoppers welcomed her second litter of purebred Harlequins this afternoon! Very very exciting and her doe Eloise is an excellent mother ♥️

One of my favorite sounds 😌. Buying brand new bottles this winter and enough to switch out has been a game changer! 😎💦🐇
