We had the pleasure of meeting Benny and his family and friends during their vacation week at Tommy’s Place a few weeks ago! The boys are at that perfect age to enjoy everything at the farm and were able to work quite independently with the horses, and enjoyed a magical trip through the fairy forest. We hope you enjoyed your time at Tommy’s Place and hope you’ll come visit us again if you’re in the area!

We recently had a visit from Toni and her family during their vacation week at Tommy's Place! Although she wasn’t feeling her very best, and was a little shy at first, the minis have a way of working their special magic and soon enough, Toni was all in!! She got to be our first visitor to dress the horses in Halloween costumes this season, and did amazingly well handling them for such a little girl! Her favorite part of the visit was the fairy trail but the horses were a close second. She left us with this knock-knock joke to share.
Knock-knock.

This week Laila, her good friend, siblings and parents came to work with the minis during their vacation week at Tommy’s Place! It was a fun and busy visit! Of course since it’s Halloween week, the horses were dressed for the occasion which included one bumble bee, two unicorns, and Hot Rod did not have to wear a winged fairy costume so I think he was happy 😆
Laila’s upbeat and positive energy brought joy to the farm! She was a trooper participating in all the farm had to offer, and her kindness, encouragement and interaction with little Gillie was impressive.
Please come visit us again!

We recently had a visit from Ashton and his big sister Adriana during their vacation at Tommy's Place last week. While Ashton is a little young to enjoy all activities with the horses, he seemed to take it all in from the comfort of his stroller or his mom’s arms! But his sister most enthusiastically enjoyed everything about the visit! After grooming Hot Rod, she picked up her grooming kit and said “Okay, I’m ready to do the next horse! Hot Rod was his usual good natured self and proudly wore his unicorn costume. Adriana did a great job leading him through the obstacle course as Ashton and mom watched. No visit is complete without a fun trip through the fairy forest. Thanks for visiting and we hope you’ll come again when Ashton can get some more hands on!!

We always appreciate it when families come and visit us during their vacation week at Tommy's Place! With so much to do there, there’s really no reason to leave! Recently Kieran and his family and friends visited us and spent some time here at the farm working with the horses and venturing through the fairy forest. The horses are always entertaining and this little group of 2 to 5 year olds did a super job with them!
Kieran shared this joke with us. What time do you go to the dentist? Tooth hurty!!!! 😆 😆

Last week we met the sweetest boy, Jamie, and his family and friends when they came for a farm visit during their vacation week at Tommy's Place! Jamie worked with both Gillie and Captiva and the three made a perfect team of fun, sugar and spice. ❤️ Everyone enjoyed all the horse activities and the fairy trail, and Jamie’s brother shared a joke with us.
Why don’t eggs tell each other jokes?
Because they’d crack each other up!!! 🤣

I can't believe we're already into the first week of fall! The summer flew by, and we kept busy with lots of visitors to the farm, including a family from Ireland, two friends from Alaska, a little girl interested in therapeutic riding lessons wanting to get acquainted with the smaller equine version first, a former Tommy's Place family in town to run the Falmouth Road Race, and LOTS of family and grandparent visits! Thank you all for helping support the work of The Northeast Miniature Horse Club and Rescue!

Last week Olivia and her family visited us during their vacation week at Tommy's Place. And how lucky were we to get to spend some time with her on her 5th birthday! She arrived looking absolutely adorable in her special Spidey Girl outfit, and although Olivia wasn’t feeling her best, she was a trooper and participated in all the activities. She got to groom Captiva and dressed her up, and with her Mom’s help they lead Captiva through the obstacle course. Her little brother was so sweet and patient and waited his turn to take Gillie around, doing a superb job for a 3 and a half year old.
Horses are fun but it’s hard to beat a fairy trail! That quickly lifted Olivia’s spirits and she was all in-hands down, her favorite part of the visit!

Tuesdays are for Tommy's Place at The Wishing Well Farm, and last week we were visited by 2 1/2 year old Luke and his family! His Mom told me he is a real animal lover and he sure proved it by jumping right in to all the horse activities, helping to feed all the horses lunch hay, grooming both Captiva and Hot Rod and doing really well leading his horse through the obstacle course! When he finished he came back into the barn and said he wanted to see MORE horses! Super job Luke! Come visit us again!

We had so much fun when Ellora Brave Like Ellora and her family and friends visited us during their vacation week at Tommy's Place recently! There were eight kids ages 3 to 7 which was no problem at all for our 4 sweet mini horses. They are very good at their jobs! After learning how to groom a horse, the kids all ran through the obstacle course before leading their horses through, and then we all had a fun adventure through the fairy trail. The kids were SO good!! Please come visit us again!

Adriana and her family visited the minis last week during her vacation at Tommy's Place. She was eager to practice her new French braiding skills learned at camp this summer, so even Hot Rod sported a lovely braid and rosette in his mane! I loved that Adriana wanted to work with all 4 horses on the obstacle course! By her fourth time through, she was handling like a pro! The fairy trail was right up there on her favorite activity list, but the horses were at the top. She shared this joke with us- What is a duck's favorite snack? Cheese and quackers! Thanks for visiting!

Last week was extra special because we had TWO visits from our friends at Tommy's Place! Two families who had stayed at Tommy’s Place in the past came to visit Izzy and her family for a few days, and Izzy‘s mom asked if they could all return again for a Mini reunion! It was so wonderful to see how all the kids have grown.

Tuesdays are for Tommy's Place at The Wishing Well Farm, and yesterday we got a visit from Izzy and her family! She chose to work with Gillie and they made the cutest pair. Izzy showed Gillie confidence and kindness, two valuable qualities when handling horses. When asked what her favorite activity was during the visit, she said grooming Gillie, the obstacle course AND the Fairy Trail! The trifecta of fun! Izzy shared this joke with us. “Why are pirates called pirates? Because they ARRRRR!!!

The Minis made some new friends recently when Sophia and her family visited us during their vacation at Tommy’s Place. It was a really fun visit that included horses, cars and a scavenger hunt through the fairy trail. Thanks for visiting!

We are so happy to be home from Florida, and to share some Mini Horse fun with all our community and Tommy’s Place visitors! Recently Enzo, and his sister, Zoe and family paid us a visit during their vacation at Tommy’s Place. Kids and Mini Horses are a perfect match! What’s not to love when you see the perfect size horse for a little boy, and and girl with a horse dressed in a tutu!! Thanks for visiting!

Miniature Horses are sure to bring smiles wherever they go, and Captiva did just that for the residents at Beach House Naples! After visiting with the residents outside, we made a brief visit inside and Captiva got her first glimpse of a television! I would love to have known what she was thinking when she saw it, but it surely caught her attention!

Captiva and Gillie brought some smiles to the residents at Memory Care of Naples where we met so many interesting people, including many fellow New Englanders. Among the audience were a few former horse owners, a veterinarian, and a 1972 Olympic Equestrian! It’s always a pleasure to hear the stories shared by the residents we visit.

Earlier this month we brought Captiva to visit the wonderful residents at The Pineapple House at Sapphire Lakes. It was a fun and engaging visit, with lots of smiles and insightful questions!

We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our Mini Horse herd! Meet Hotrod, a 15-year-old gelding who is trained to ride and pull a cart He's a kind and gentle soul, and loves children, so he will feel right at home with the other horses of the Wishing Well Farm! Welcome Hotrod!

Last week Colby and his family and some family friends visited the farm. Colby worked with 27-year-old Cameo, who isn't always the most cooperative horse, but he worked with her like a pro!
