Good news everyone! Elsa's biopsy came back and it was benign, so no cancer! And she is doing much better now too. Thank you to everyone that donated! She is going to have an adoption appointment and hopefully finding her forever home soon.

Meet Shania. Shania is a 5-Year-Old French Bulldog Mix. 3/4 French Bulldog and 1/4 English BBulldog. She is a retired breeder dog. Shania is short and pudgy and weighs about 30 lbs. but still considers herself the ultimate lap dog. She loves to be hugged and snuggled. Shania is crate trained and has not made any messes in the house. She will let you know when she needs to go outside. Shania gets along very well with the other dogs in her foster home, and they vary in size, type and gender. As for cats, she has not been around them so that is unknown currently. Unfortunately, Shania had an eye injury as a puppy and her eye had to be removed but this doesn't slow her down at all. She walks well on a leash and does not require a fenced-in yard, but she does love laying out in the sun. Shania would love to have a furry sibling to play with but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t be your one and only. It is $5 Friday! The last couple of weeks have created to some big veterinary bills. Poor Elsa had bleeding out her back end that became severe and she needed to be admitted to Quakertown Veterinary Clinic this past week. After and ultrasound and transfusion to get her blood levels stable enough for surgery a tumor was found and removed. We are anxiously awaiting the biopsy results and we don't know if this was a result of her not being spayed before coming to us. This is certainly a good reason to get your dog spayed since things were pretty scary for Elsa for a little while. Elsa has been a trooper through all of this but we have $3,000 in extra veterinary bills. Please consider making a donation for $5 Friday! Thank you all for your support!

Meet Penny. Penny came to us as a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She is about 3 years old and weighs about 70 lbs.
Penny loves to be around other dogs and will need a home with another friendly dog help show her that people are not so bad. We are not sure about cats. Penny would do best in house that has a fenced yard as she likes to run!!!
Penny is still timid around humans but very comfortable around other dogs. Her foster is working fiercely to have her become comfortable with humans but it will take time and patience. Honestly she is a very LOVABLE dog that wants to show it but needs reinforcement that she can trust you. She is so young and trainable and has so much potential! We will only consider applications for her that have another friendly dog and securely fenced in yard as she is currently a flight risk especially without those things. Penny is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. This is Jordan! His date of birth is 7/4/2024 and he is a mini golden doodle. He came to us from a breeder because he had a birth defect that made him look like both a boy and a girl. After seeing our vet and having an ultrasound it was confirmed he was a boy but needed surgery to fix up some of his urinary system. Jordan is a very playful pup that loves small chew toys and running around with other dogs. He is in a foster home with a large dog, 4 kids under 8 years old and cats and chickens. He does like to chase the cats and chickens so we are working on that but it seems mostly playful. He is crate trained and sleeps in a crate overnight for 8 hours without issue and stays in a crate when the foster family leaves the house. He loves a good snuggle in a lap when he is done playing. He will need regular grooming for the rest of his life to maintain his curly coat.
Jordan will always need a daily wiping/cleaning after he urinates and more frequent clipping of his belly hair to keep as much hair away from his urinary opening to keep it clean and dry. Jordan is now neutered, up to date with vaccines for his age and microchipped. Meet Eddie.
Eddie came to us as a retired breeder dog. He is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Eddie is about 6 and half years old and he is a big guy at just over 100 lbs. Eddie is a big sweet lovable guy. He loves being near you and is a quick learner, but will let you know if he doesn't want to do something. He is scared easily, but he is a gentle giant. He loves other people and dogs and wants to say hi to everyone. Eddie would do best in a quieter house and having another dog around might be comforting for him. He still needs to come out of his shell and will need patience and training. Eddie has been on concrete his whole life and does have some weakness in his back end. We have started him on joint supplements and exercise to help strengthen his muscles. He is a super sweet big guy and he is now neutered, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm and started on monthly heartworm prevention. Thank you to everyone that came out to Howl-O-Wheelin Car Show and Fall Festival on Saturday. It was another beautiful, breeze day. We had lots of great vendors, food and drinks. And lots of cars for the show. It was a busy October with fundraisers and a special Thank you to all of our Volunteers and Sponsors that helped make all of this possible to help the animals!

Definitely making progress on the first surgery leg on the left side.

Everyone meet Sadie Mae. She is an adorable English Bulldog puppy that was surrendered to us from a breeder because she walks on her elbows. Sadie has a birth defect that can happen in English Bulldogs known as Congenital Radial Head Luxation. The good news is that Sadie's problems walking can be fixed with surgery and a good prognosis for her to walk much better. We can get her the surgery she needs if we can raise $4,300.00 for her. Sadie will be able to get her surgery on February 15, 2024. This surgery requires them to reposition her Radial Head and pin it for several weeks while she grows and remove the pins at a later date. Please help this spunky girl by donating today! Sadie will be available for adoption in a few months if we can get her all fixed up.

Uma and Uno are now available for adoption. They are about 11 weeks old and we are told they came to us from a hoarding situation that had chihuahuas, mini Australian shepherds and pit mixes so they are probably a little bit of all of those breeds.
