This is ring 4, the obedience ring, set for the Novice class, of the Providence County Kennel Club Match held today, September 4, Labor Day. We sweated in the hot sun and had a good time on the lovely agility field of Delmyra Kennels in Exeter Rhode Island. It was my, Walter Horowitz, first time as an Obedience Judge and I have a new respect for the AKC Obedience Judges who have to watch carefully and still fill out the scoring sheets. We had dogs out for their first time in the Novice ring, dogs working on their Open titles all the way to experienced dogs practicing their Utility work. I hope they all had a good time, I know I did. Thanks to P.C.K.C. for inviting me to judge.

Our team worked so hard to put on our 1st show in this beautiful venue, Wide World of Indoor Sports, North Kingstown. We made a decision to move 3 years ago but with Covid we had to cancel. This was my first attempt to be Show Chair. The list of Thank yous will be going out. Congratulations to Kelly Shupp for winning Best in Show. - Dogs may be left in the building overnight with security

In addition to our annual shows for Conformation, Agility, Rally and Obedience, PCKC often visits assisted living facilities and nursing homes to bring our dogs to people who cannot have their own animals. Today we will go to Wingate Blackstone in Providence, RI.
