Meet Thunder — a stunning Husky/Shepherd mix, just 18 months old, 50 lbs, and full of heart, hope, and hugs.

Thunder’s story started in survival mode. Alone on the streets, he learned to be brave — but what he never lost was his gentle spirit. Today, he’s proof that even the roughest beginnings can lead to the most beautiful second chances.

Thunder is everything you could want in a best friend:

Texas Shepherds!!!! That’s right, our Rescue has 2 BEAUTIFUL Sheherds from Texas who are available for Adoption. Flopsy and Max- both are Fostered in CT, dog friendly, probably no to cats, Max is moderately energetic, Flopsy is more active but not crazy. Both dogs are housebroken, great on a leash, and they make great family dogs. They had interested parties who passed them up because it wasn’t the best time for them to Adopt- their loss your gain! Rest in Power Jane Goodall. An inspiring woman who dedicated her life to understanding animals, demonstrating immense love and respect for the animals, and teaching the rest of us humans the benefits of realizing just how similar we are to them. Jane spent years with Chimpanzees, but she respected and loved all animals- including dogs! We have a deep respect for Jane.

We have 4 puppies available for Adoption- three are the last ones of their litter, the fourth has been over looked and has a string of bad luck.

Lou, Jasmine and Sophia- their siblings have traveled from the South to CT and have been Adopted, but they remain. Still looking for their Forever homes, the families they can call their own.

Lou is a 7 month old Terrier/Catahoula mix who loves to play, is kid/cat/dog friendly, can be crated, is learning leash skills, is housebroken (when he gets on a schedule) and can be your best friend. Lou weighs about 45lbs.

Sophia is part of our “Golden Girls” litter of 2 BEAUTIFUL Black Lab puppies. Dorothy was a Foster fail, and Sophia awaits her turn to charm a family. Sophia will be 5 months old in early October, she is learning leash skills, she is living with kids, cats and other dogs, she is crate trained, housebroken and sweet as pie!

Jasmine is out little South Carolina Southern Belle. She is about 8 months old, a mixed breed pup, and will be a small dog- about 35lbs. Jasmine is a bit timid but coming out if her shell. She adores the child in the family and absolutely needs another dog in the home to follow and show her the ropes. Once she trusts you, she will snuggle up to you and show you all the love! Jasmine has lived with cats, she is housebroken and crate trained.

Sammie is nearly 10 months old, 45lb and he is a Lab/Sharpei/Hound/lovebug mix that arrived in CT in July. A previous Adopter was going to meet him but Adopted another dog, another Adopter was set to meet him but took in a family member’s dog that needed a home. He also had a candidate prepared to meet him around Labor Day, but had to pull out because of a personal emergency. So our lovable, playful, dog/cat/kid friendly mix breed pup, who is housebroken, crate trained, playful and sweet, waits. Sammie deserves someone who can follow through and take him home!

WE STILL NEED A FOSTER FOR JUICE!!!

Hello Change A Life Dog Rescue fans,

Let’s chat about a dog that is available for Adoption. Her name is Juice and she is an adorable Mastiff. Juice came to us four years ago as a puppy and was Adopted by a couple and their little Shih Tzu. Flash forward to now, the couple has a lovely toddler and Juice is a bit overwhelmed. The family is doing a lot of “crate and rotate” and no one is really happy. We are looking for a forever home for Juice the Mastiff.

Juice is about 85 lbs and 4yrs old. Juice can pull a little on the leash, but this is a matter of training. Juice is housebroken, she can be crated, she lives with a little dog, likes other big dogs and loves her people- older children are best. Juice is moderately energetic, but does love to lay back and take a nap. Juice is living in CT and NEEDS AN IMMEDIATE FOSTER or Adopter. Juice is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm negative (on preventatives and microchipped. Do you remember our Rescue’s trip to the Rio Grand Valley in July? We met a dog who was just recently taken into a home after being found as a stray. That dog was German Shepherd Max. He joined us on a ride around the valley, passing out food to our dedicated Rescue partners. Max even hung out in our hotel room and relaxed in the air conditioning. Max is about 2 or 3 yrs old, 60lbs- he can stand to put on some weight, dog and people friendly, good on a leash, only moderately energetic, and MAX IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!!! The big guy arrived in CT a few weeks ago and he wants to meet his person…is that you? It could be. Email [email protected] and submit an application- we would love to do a meeting. Hello friends

Change A Life Dog Rescue is asking for your help. We have a pair of Great Pyrenees mixes who are in need of a home. Sadie and Meadow are 4 yrs old and about 80lbs. Meadow was Adopted through our Rescue almost 4 yrs ago as a puppy. Sadie was the puppy in the home whom the Adopters saved from being euthanized at a local Vets office. Sadie’s back leg muscles were under developed and someone just left her at the Vets office. Sadie can get around just fine, she and Meadow are quite the pair. Unfortunately, their parents are divorcing and they need to find a new home. Both girls are dog/cat/kid/people friendly, housebroken, good on a leash, moderately energetic, non destructive and really sweet. We would love for the girls to go to a home together but we can discuss separate homes if necessary. Let’s put our heads together to help some beautiful pups. Email [email protected] today!
