Eight-year-old Denver was brought to ARF by East Hampton Animal Control. Our medical team diagnosed him with a severe medial patellar luxation, and Denver received immediate knee surgery. While recovering at ARF, Denver received around-the-clock care and attention from the entire staff.

Meanwhile, Kevin, a local senior citizen, reached out to ARF. His dog had passed away recently, and he lived alone. He feared that other shelters wouldn’t adopt to him because of his age, and he knew that ARF goes above and beyond to support adopters who take dogs with special medical needs. He and Denver were the perfect match.

Your donations allowed ARF to give Denver the medical care he needed, and have a second chance at a happy life. Thank you for saving him. Please make a special year-end gift today. Every gift matters. 💚

December is National Cat Lovers month, and we are celebrating with some great feline adoptions! Starting with Oreo – the 15-year-old kitty that we told you about last week - who was left at a local veterinary office when her family moved away and then brought to ARF where she had surgery to remove her damaged and painful eye, as well as kittens Rainbow, Ember, Twix and Jelly Bean! Congratulations to all and thank you adopters! 💚

Whether it’s a game of fetch at the park or learning a new trick or two, Biscuit’s vibrant spirit and loving nature make her the perfect addition to any home! Apply to adopt at arfhamptons.org 💚

Oreo was left at a local veterinary office when her family moved away. Despite her age – 15 years – Oreo was in good health, with the exception of her eye, which was severely compromised. The veterinarian knew of ARF’s reputation for providing extraordinary medical care for cats in need, and she brought Oreo to ARF’s medical center.

Oreo received surgery to remove her damaged and painful eye, and she spent 65 days recovering at ARF. Our staff has fallen in love with her, and this sweet senior deserves to live out her golden years in a loving home.

Thank you for making Oreo’s care possible. Please consider a special year-end gift in her honor today. Every gift matters. 💚

We have the most incredible news.... After waiting for 3️⃣ YEARS, CLOVER🍀 FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!

We remained hopeful for the final 3 Bahamian Potcakes awaiting adoption after arriving at our shelter in November 2021 with a transport of 12 dogs from the Humane Society of Grand Bahama. 11 months ago, found her forever home and her adoption story was featured on ❤️ 3 months ago, Asiah found her forever home with former ARFan Wilson now Sammy 🎉 and on Saturday morning, Clover found her forever home with former ARFan Easter 👏👏👏👏

We are overjoyed that these three amazing girls have finally made it out of the shelter and into loving homes. We also want to congratulate Deacon, Peanut, Norman, and feline trio: Leonard, Patty & Junior Pattie on finding their forever homes!!! Thank you, Adopters 💚💚💚

Surrendered by his family, Hank faces medical and behavioral challenges resulting from negative training practices. Caring for Hank requires a complex collaboration among ARF’s medical team, animal care staff, training specialists, and volunteers. He receives daily enrichment and training to prepare for adoption.

Over the past 50 years, ARF Hamptons has grown from a local animal shelter into a beacon of hope for cats and dogs in need.

Looking ahead to ARF’s next 50 years, we remain committed to our mission: saving and finding loving homes for shelter cats and dogs.

On behalf of Hank, and all his friends at ARF, thank you for your continued support. Every gift matters. 💚

With the support of our community and donors, ARF Hamptons has rescued, healed, and rehomed over 33,500 dogs and cats in the past 50 years. Every day, up to 150 animals find shelter, medical care, and love at ARF. With the rising costs of care, we need your help now more than ever. It takes about $5,800 to rescue and care for each animal, covering everything from medical treatment and behavioral therapy to food and daily care.

Every gift matters. Please make a special year-end gift today. Visit give.arfhamptons.org to make a donation💚

Daisy is an adorable six-year-old dog with loads of love to give! She recently came to ARF as a surrender and is now looking for a new place to call home. Daisy is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. She is also smart as a whip and is eager to learn more. Daisy does have some anxiety, so she takes her time getting comfortable with new people, but once she knows you’re her friend, she’s a big mush! Due to her anxiety, a calm home with children over the age of 12 is recommended. Daisy doesn’t always want a canine companion around, so a thorough meet and greet is a must. If you’re looking for a best friend in a dog, look no further; Daisy is your girl! Apply to adopt at arfhamptons.org 💚

Seven-year-old Belle, originally from Puerto Rico, ended up at ARF due to her family’s inability to care for her. Belle is a sweet and affectionate feline who easily befriends new people, showing her love by playfully rolling around with her beloved toy at their feet. Her captivating green eyes, velvety soft fur, and dainty white paw markings contribute to her charming allure. Belle has already won over the staff with her endearing personality - a sure sign that you will also fall in love with this darling little munchkin. Apply to adopt Belle at arfhamptons.org. 💚
