We are considering offering a 1-week Vaulting & Horsemanship day camp at Starlight Horse Farm in July 2024. We did not offer it in 2023.
Possible weeks are:
July 8 - 12 or
July 15 - 19.
Before launching into the planning stage we are wondering if there is any interest (ages 6-16). Please respond in comments or PM. Thank you! Vault on!!

The Blue Hill Fair organizers are in error again this year. Aurora Vaulters was not contacted to do a presentation today. We were asked to step aside 4 years ago and let other presenters have that show ring and time. They did not contact us, yet again, to confirm our participation. Our apologies to anyone who showed up this afternoon to see us. Enjoy the Fair!!

RIP beautiful kind Rosie, mare extraordinaire, Queen of Hearts and lead mare of the farm, who gave her heart and love to so many children and adults during her 18 years. Rosie came to us 7 years ago and quickly became an enthusiastic member of Aurora Vaulters. With Cynthia coaching, Deb lunging and Rosie carrying everyone with great care we became a wonderful team, providing a path for so many vaulters, young as well as older, to gain a confidence and connection they had never experienced before. She opened her heart to everyone and was a gentle giant . Rosie went with us to do demos at the Common Ground Fair & the Blue Hill Fair, traveled all over Maine to do clinics and demos, she gave recreational vaulters a place to grow, and she carried vaulters in competitions. She was the mainstay of out vaulting summer camps. Rosie was a vital Aurora Vaulters Ambassador, doing her part with grace and enthusiasm, spreading the sport of vaulting throughout the State of Maine. She was always a favorite at our Open Barn days, sometimes giving ‘pony’ rides with our other horses. She loved being in the local Christmas Parade; she loved to get off the farm to meet other people and see other sights; she was very curious and quite social. Touching the lives of vaulters, parents, volunteers, friends, family, our surrounding community, she changed them in ways we’ll never know. She changed Deb Andrews life through the bond they developed as lounger and horse. Rosie taught Deb with love, grace, and forgiveness. Always eager to learn Rosie and Deb started to learn dressage and went to a few shows, doing their best and having fun.

Rosie, thank you for giving your heart and soul without reserve.

These ponies are chomping at the bit to get to the TACK SALE tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 - 2 at M & N Ranch, Upper Dedham Road, Dedham, Maine. Along with the ponies we will bring a Cobb bridle, a Draft bridle, halters, lead ropes, grooming tools, shipping boots, Cloud boots, a few inexpensive Western saddles, tack rack and more!!! We are excited to start up our recreational vaulting class for 2022 on April 2nd and it will be offered through October 2022. Class is held Saturdays 9:00- 10:30 and is $175 per month. Students interested in joining the team are required to start in this class.

NOW available on our square space calendar is a list of our services! Even if your child has attended summer camps with us in the past, we’d like ALL clients to sign up and fill out the forms! If you have told Cynthia that you’d like to sign up, we’d still like you to do so here! There will be an extra form for your child’s t-shirt size, etc on the site before the end of this month! There isn’t a split payment option for deposits, but if you let me know before April 15th, I’ll send you a separate bill! 😊

We are looking for an indoor space to hold our vaulting classes on the 'stationary horses' also called practice barrels, for the months of December through March. Our ideal place would be available 1 or possibly 2 afternoon per week for a couple of hours and 2-4 hours on Saturday. We like to offer training all year round to the youth and do not have an indoor space. Ideally it would be an empty space approx. 600-800 square feet in Ellsworth and surrounding area that can be heated. We are a non-profit but can pay a small amount for use of the space.

A very important reminder to all parents and visitors to the farm during lessons or vaulting classes:
Please do not distract the coaches, spotters or students once they enter the barrel or horse areas for their safety as well as the coaches. We appreciate you asking questions and watching or taking pictures (only of riding and recreational vaulting classes) after the class! Please feel free to watch from your vehicles or the big wooden benches! 🤩 Thank You from Coaches Cynthia, Deb, and Ella 😎
