A group of undergraduate students at Michigan State University who are interested in working the Veterinary Medical field.

We are a group of Undergrad Students that attend Michigan State who would like to work in the field of Veterinary Medicine one day as a Veterinarian, a Veterinary Technician, or any other Vet related job. As a club we hold community fundraisers such as:
-Dog washes
-Food Fundraisers
-Candle Fundraisers and many more

The money earned from these fundraisers help send our members to the National Am

erican Pre-Veterinary Medical Association symposium that is held at different College of Veterinary Medicine each year. As a club we also participate in many different community service events such as;
-Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue
-CAHS
-Red Cross blood drives and more

PVMA 🧡s Carrots!

This weekend members volunteered at the Student Organic Farm! They had a blast and harvested 356 pounds of carrots!! Great work everyone :)

Farrowing Fun! 🐷🩷

Why PVMA Wednesday!

Hey there! My name is Jael Tombaugh, I am an Animal Science major on the pre-vet track. I am a junior-transfer student so this is my first semester here at MSU! I am set on being an equine veterinarian (the best, in my opinion😉🐴). I am currently working as a veterinary receptionist at Waverly Animal Hospital here in Lansing, and I’ve previously worked as a small animal Veterinary Assistant and MSU Extension 4-H/Youth Development Support Staff over the past 3 years. I spent this past January-June in Lexington interning with Hagyard Equine Medical Institute working with neonatal foals during the breeding season and it was the best experience ever! I am apart of PVMA and the MSU Driving Club. Fun Fact: I have a dog named MooCowMoo🐄. I joined PVMA to be a part of a community of people all working towards the same collective goal and to immerse myself in the veterinary world as much as I can while meeting new people and mentors. I haven’t been a part of PVMA for long, but I’m looking forward to farrowing and social events!! Go Green! 💚🤍

Today, our PVMA E-Board volunteered to help out with the Michigan Community Street Clinic in Downtown Lansing! At this event, our e-board helped fellow MSU vet students and veterinarians with providing free healthcare to people’s pets in Lansing. Shoutout to MSU’s Michigan Community Street Clinic club for giving us the amazing opportunity to help out the community! 🤍🩺🐾
