Bryan had her first grooming session at Kelly’s Pet Boutique with our Maddie today, and she did amazing!
An introductory pet grooming session is a short, positive-reinforcement-focused visit designed to acclimate a pet to the sights, sounds, and handling of a professional grooming salon. The session is less about a full haircut and more about creating a relaxed experience, typically including a bath, gentle brush out, exposure to tools like clippers and dryers, and handling of paws and ears. It often involves basic hygiene services like a nail trim and sanitary clip, along with plenty of praise and treats to build a positive association.

This is a ridiculously amazing event every year. The kids are super polite and only swipe one treat, some even passing on one altogether so someone else can score a goodie. In fact, I had some leftovers from last year that I stashed in the freezer, and I'm reusing them this year because I'm thrifty like that. I'm thinking of adding some cauliflower to the mix this year (handing out a whole clove, because why not?) and I'm pretty sure we'll be the most popular business on the block!

I fell in love with little River this morning while grooming him, for obvious reasons. Adorable as can be, and he has the sweetest mannerisms during grooming, plus he’s a needy little dude and I love that. He tries to jump up in his groomers, arms and get held during the grooming.

I'm always raving about old town, so I figured I'd share this gem with you guys - another reason to hit up old town, it's seriously amazing, I checked it out myself. 

The park at the Brenke Fish Ladder features a new outdoor mini-amphitheater with seating for about 350 people on the banks of the Grand River.
