Krampusnacht in Old Town Lansing is happening on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public, featuring a parade, vendors, grub, tunes, and other fun stuff.

So who's this Krampus guy and what's his beef with Christmas? Krampus is basically the anti-Santa, a horned, half-human creature from Alpine folklore who's all about punishing naughty kids during the holiday season. He's like a furry little monster with hooves, horns, and a tongue that's way too long, and he's always whipping misbehaving youngsters with sticks or tossing them in a sack to haul off to his lair.
That’s the kind of Christmas I experienced as a kid growing up in Germany, boy was it fun! LOL 😂

Today is a purrfect day to hang out in a box, just ask Dennis and Blade. This is how I found them at the shop when I came to clean the litter box, make sure they had food and that the heat was on.

Looks like it’s time to hang up our scissors for a Turkey Day siesta, we are closing up shop for Thanksgiving. We won’t be back till Tuesday December 2. Please do leave us a message or send us a text. We will get back to you next Tuesday and if you’re one of those people that loves to have your fur kid looking sharp for Christmas and you haven’t booked an appointment with us yet. The notion that dudes who indulge in frequent spa days are "high maintenance" is a totally played-out stereotype that's getting a major reality check in modern society. Especially Stanley, I don't mean to sound like a total grump, but he's racked up more spa days in a year than I'll have in my entire lifetime!

Dogs are hilarious, especially when it comes to their pecking order. For example, my male dog Clyde (7 1/2 pound Shih Tzu) thinks he's the boss, but in reality, my female dog Bonnie is the real CEO. She clearly doesn't recognize him as Alpha. In fact, she'll chase him down if I call him and he doesn't listen to me, and she'll also pounce on him if he's being a jerk to Drei (50 pound pitbull) - she's all about keeping him in line and showing him who's really in charge. LOL. It's ridiculous to watch a 6 1/2 pound Shih Tzu run the show.
