Joanne's Ark Rescue We are a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue located in East Leroy, Michigan serving Calhoun County My goal is to change this. They did not ask to be born.

Mission Statement: To save, nurture, love and place in nothing less than the perfect home. So many dogs are dropped off in the middle of nowhere, starving, injured or just neglected with no human contact or love. Every dog deserves love and attention, medical treatment when needed, a warm home to sleep, and socialization. But even more importantly, the only way to lessen the number of dogs in she

lters every year that are euthanized because there are not enough homes is to spay and neuter. No dog leaves my rescue without being spayed or neutered. All are also vaccinated and heartworm tested. All they want is to be loved and cared for. In return they will love you unconditionally for as long as they can.

Sunday it will be one year since Journey came into my life. I count Feb 9th as her birthday so Happy 3rd Birthday Journey. I love this dog with my entire heart and soul and she knows it. She was transported here after living outside on a short heavy chain, walked over to me and put her head on my foot! I knew she was claiming me but my Jax had passed away the Thanksgiving before and I told Journey I wasn't ready. I put a leash on her and she would not walk more than 2 ft away from me. I don't know how she knew she was meant to be with me but she sure worked hard for the next few days to convince me that I WAS ready. After 3 days I knew she was right and that I would never be able to let her go. I love you Journey and you have been such a Blessing to have in my life

Meet Monty. He was found laying in the snow at Leila Arboretum about 3 weeks ago. The staff there has been caring for him but asked me to take him. He appears to be 1-2 years old. Need something to make you smile? Here is the former puppy mill doggie who had been living outside 24/7 until Saturday. We were desperate to find him a place to go before the temps dropped. I would say Jack fell into a pot of gold. He had never been in a house. Look at him now.

Ok everyone. We are desperate to find this boy (lab/dalmation mix) a home or foster within the next 24 hours. We went to meet him in hopes of bringing him here. But he has been cooped up his entire 1 year life. His energy level is through the roof. With Rocky being 9 1/2 and having a bad back, this dog can't come here. Here is what we learned tonight: He weighs about 40 pounds and looks to be a little underweight. He is full grown. I wouldn't recommend cats due to his high energy level. Same with small children. He would knock them down Another dog to play with would be great but not required. He needs alot of activity. If you are a person who is gone all day, it won't work. It's going to take him several months to settle down so plan on getting lots of exercise! He has never been in a house. He doesn't even have a name. He will require a ton of patience, time, training and love. He will need either a huge fenced yard or acreage. The more space he has to run the better Personality wise he is very sociable and friendly. He has no problem jumping on anyone to get attention He is not leashed trained. He has had zero vetting. Please, please help him if you can. He will freeze to death in the upcoming temps without immediate help. If you are willing to give this amazing youngster a home please call or text us. Jingle Belle got her combo test and first shots today. She will be spayed soon. Who is looking for a super nice cat? The vet felt she is about 2 years old. She has not been tested with other cats or dogs
