Message from our President, Debbi Larkin.

“I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to those of you who joined us at our holiday luncheon today. It was so nice to see you all outside of the shelter environment, relaxing and getting to meet your fellow volunteers!

This celebration was a reflection of the hard work and dedication you show throughout the year. It was a privilege to honor and celebrate all that you do. Your commitment and enthusiasm are the heart of our mission, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our team.

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate with us, and for everything you contribute to the Grateful Paw and our animals. We wish you a wonderful holiday season filled with happiness and cheer!”

❤️🐈‍⬛🐾FELINE FRIDAY🐾🐈‍⬛❤️

The kittens born in early fall are starting to return to the shelter from their foster homes. The T kittens are next, and their foster mom sent us cute pictures and videos. Tennyson and Tulip are a pair of tuxedos, while Titan and Tiffany are black matching bookends.

They will soon be available for adoption so stay tuned for updates.

❤️🐾❤️HAPPY TAILS❤️🐾

We have an update on Chiclet.

“Ellie (formerly known as Chiclet) has matured into a confident and fearless furry little girl who loves to play. She is endlessly curious and loves to participate in all of our activities around the home. No doubt she can be quite the terror at times, running full speed throughout the house, but she balances that with lots of cuddle time. (Sometimes you can even catch her trying to hang from a chandelier...lol). We are grateful for Allison (foster mom) and the wonderful people at Grateful Paw Cat Shelter for the opportunity to add this precious little furry nutball to our family.“

🐱Kitten🐱 (VS) 🐈Adult🐈

Everyone loves kittens, and they are the first to get adopted. However, people do not realize that they need plenty of supervision and training.

Cons of adopting a kitten
•Kittens take a lot of time and energy for training.
•Kittens require more cleaning and maintenance.
•You need to be home more often to supervise.
•Kittens might be in more danger around children.
•Kittens bite more than adult cats.

Pros of adopting an adult cat
•Adult cats are most likely already trained.
•Adult cats need less supervision and attention.
•Adult cats have developed personalities.

Bear, who turned 1 on October 29th, has been with us since May 5th. He is truly a “Teddy” Bear and would make a wonderful companion.

Remember that kittenhood lasts for a very short time.
