Sneak peak!!
So far, this set is really fun to be working on! 3 bucks going on a full range hanging system on top of a whiskey barrel. 2 out of 3 are finished… but I gotta keep everyone in suspense until the last one is hung! For now, just take a gander at the backs of the finished 2. I created a barnwood look, and added some deer tracks! Each one took about 4 hours to create. But I’m so happy with how they came out! 😁😁😍😍

Things have been crowded in the shop for sure! But the majority of the first batch of deer is done, and I also got this beautiful bobcat squeezed in! The pictures of it are about 5 minutes after it was mounted. Lots of projects going on right now! More critters to come!
First heat, MOUNTED! This is the most deer I’ve ever put together in 5 days (feels more like 15 days) and it’s the least amount of room I’ve had in my shop 😂 few weeks of drying time, means a few weeks of skinning, fleshing, and tanning the next group! In the meantime, if you come to my shop, excuse the mess and and the possible antlers poking you from every side 😂🤙
It’s been busy lately! Got these coyotes done before the deer started pouring in, and this turkey board is pretty freakin cool too! Never seen this idea before, but it got pretty popular this year!

First ever turkey mounts are out the door! Had a beautiful Tom for a young fella and the other bird… is currently the #10 bird in the state and the record bird in the county. 4 beards on that sucker!! Also had a plaque mount to do, and 2 other turkey projects in the works (pictures to come… they’re pretty cool!)
BIG yote and big bobcat! First full body bobcat and I gotta say, I really didn’t think they were this big before!

Less than a week to go! 🦌 🏹 🍂 🍁 🩸 Just a reminder that I do not take card/money app transfers, just cold hard cash! The price of a whitetail shoulder mount is $700 and you will need $300 down at drop off!
Couple more firsts! Not-so-first blonde coyote, first bobcat, and first shoulder mount for any small game- specifically little red fox 😁 bobcats are way bigger than I anticipated but man are they beautiful!! 😍😍
Remember when I talked about having a bunch of ‘firsts’ mounts coming up? Well here’s one! Literal blood, sweat, and tears came with this job but he turned out lookin pretty good! I never knew there were so many different kinds of quills in these guys! There’s also a little bit of fur mixed in 😎

We’re coming up on archery season faster than I realized 😂 that being said, it’s time to start saving up! These are some of the prices to expect this year for some of the most common critters I get calls for. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to rush summer out the door Bc it seems like it just started, but I just wanted to give y’all a heads up!
Unique little set up here. The customer brought in this piece of driftwood they had and wanted the squirrel on it! Looks just like it was climbing up an old squirrel tree!
2 brothers got their fan mounts done! Look close and you’ll see the double beard that the younger brother shot during the youth hunt 👀
Currently stuck waiting on stuff, but here are a couple little guys I managed to get done! The mink was about 90% altered and re sculpted from the original form I got in the mail. The fisher turned out gorgeous, and he’s got some real moss from the tree by my shop to add some pop!!

When you come into my shop asking me if $650 is the best I can do, or when I cut you a discount for bringing me multiple mounts to do and you still complain that prices are too high, please keep this in mind. Supplies are going up. Shipping is going up. Supplies are not always available. A lot of times, there’s a ton of altering to do on forms, a ton of sewing to do on hides, self employment tax… the list goes on. WAY TOO OFTEN I drive 15 minutes to the shop to meet for an appointment, and customers don’t show up. Or things are dropped at my shop, me not knowing, and left there for me to figure it out who it’s from and how they want it and how to get ahold of them. Every few weeks, I get calls, messages, customers showing up at the shop wondering what the status is on their mount they dropped off- whether that be a while ago, or a week ago.
I know this is always a large chunk of money to pay. But this is a hobby for you. This is a way of living for me. If you choose to have me mount an animal for you, thank you! I’m honored! And I’ll do the best I can to turn around a high quality mount for you. But please don’t give me a hard time about the price! The average price in NY is $722 for a shoulder mount. My price is still below average y’all. I may have to raise it some this year, but it’s still not going to be unheard of pricing!
Getting down to the last few deer left. Here are some of the beauties that I finished up!
‘Why yes, I hunt with a 300 Win. Mag… why do you ask?’ 😂 JUST KIDDING. There was about 6 hours of sewing into this critter, but he turned out BEAUTIFUL! Thank you to a very good customer of mine for the continued business!

Fluffy little red and a pretty boy!
Just wanted to pop on real quick- I’ve had no trouble getting supplies for deer this year. Small game- it’s been harder to get the supplies. But I just placed an order to finish up the rest of the deer, and now the deer eyes I always get are on back order. Just a reminder… please do not contact me every couple of weeks wondering how the process is coming on your mount. I’m waiting just as patiently (or impatiently😂) as you are. Supplies are not always readily available to me and it’s setting me back. That being said, when I mount your critter, I let you know that you’ll have about a 3 week time frame until it’s ready for pick up. Please take that into consideration and be planning on picking it up. When I have to hold mounts for several weeks or months, it takes up valuable space in my small shop, it’s very frustrating (especially when I’ve been asked many times when it’ll be ready), and honestly, each mount is a lot of money sitting there that I’m delayed being paid for. I have some amazing customers and I’m thankful for every one of you who entrust me with your personal trophy mount. These are just some things to please keep in mind! 😁✌️
Well the secret is out… after 6 years in the freezer, about a month of searching for the habitat, form, more habitat, putting it all together, and driving 3 hours to the United Taxidermists of New York convention and competition, my hard work paid off tonight.

Couple more recent bucks and some words of truth coming from a small, local business. Thank you to all my customers, but especially my repeat guys and girls. In this crazy and uncertain world, I couldn’t ask for a better customer base!! 🙏 💪
Check out this crazy cool buck! Taken on opening day of rifle season, this buck had all his velvet still! And not just peach fuzz velvet, 1/2 inch long velvet! Super long beautiful eyelashes too (Typical, blessed male 😂) I guess bucks like this have a testosterone problem and will never chase does or scrape their velvet off, but they still grow antlers. Pretty impressive!
And with that, all the bucks that CAME IN during archery season, have left the shop! I had some fun with these last few! Peep the pictures to see why!!
Got some nice bucks done recently! We had a grandfather/grandson team bring their trophy bucks shot within a day of each other!
When you hear watch out for ticks, or check your littles for ticks, this is why! This is just from the first grooming of 1 deer today! Hundreds of ticks on the ground! They are all dead, but at one time they were alive and active 😂
While I think that every deer a hunter tags is a personal trophy no matter the size, I wanna talk a little bit about this one. This local buck had an 8 inch eye-nose measurement, (very rare for my shop) and a 25 inch measurement at the smallest point of his throat behind the ears, and a 34 inch mark at the largest point of his neck, making him the largest white tail body I’ve ever had in my shop. I’ve had deer from various parts of the country, and this buck dwarfs some of the Midwest white tails. The kid that tagged him, puts in the work hunting hard every year and it really paid off for him this season!! The bucks in the second picture with him, are all nice bucks that I would shoot any day of the week, and the picture is just for body size comparison.
After mounting 8, I’ve almost got 1 of 5 freezers sorted out 😂 few holiday deer ready to go including 2 youth weekend bucks!
Man, who says unicorns don’t exist 😂 ya never know what you’re gonna find!
Things are getting busy at the shop! 3 freezers full of deer already and 4 from early archery mounted up! Along with some other jobs that I got finished over the summer/fall.
Just wanted to hop on since there’s just a few days left until rifle season... shoulder mounts are $650 this year and there is a $200 deposit. I know everyone is nervous about messing up the cape, but PLEASE don’t bring me the whole hide unless you want a full body mount! It takes up a ton of freezer space which fills up quick!
