We are happy to announce that 2022 ended with three trial sleepover adoptions!

First, Draco is on his trial sleepover with Lizzy and her two kitties, Klaus and Scallop.

Next beautiful panther kitty, Binky, is on a sleepover with repeat adopters Annika and Noah and their kitty Stevie.

And lastly fuzzy Leo is on a trial sleepover with repeat adopters, Shauna, James, and our crazy cat lady in the making, Paisley!

We are so thankful for our repeat adopters and also our new adopters.

Please send good vibes and prayers for our kitties that they quickly adapt and the resident kitties in the homes accept them quickly!

We have had a few adoptions to announce!

First, Pie (now Sol) was adopted by Jonathan and family. Pie was part of a TNR project and it was noted she was way too friendly to be put back into the colony. I knew he was the right adopter when he loved her ear tip (from the TNR spay) and said it gave her character.

Babycakes, (now Marla) was adopted by Alex. He saw her on Petfinder and fell in love with her sweet face and knew she was the kitty for him.

Next, Ringo (now Rex) was adopted by repeat adopters Danielle, Geoff and Robert. Danielle asked for a “velcro kitty” and Ringo fit that 100%! We LOVE our repeat adopters!!

Sweet Monet was adopted by the Adcock family and they drove from SC to pick him up for his trial adoption the minute they were approved for adoption!!

Toby (now Red) and Groovy were adopted together to the Harbinson family and living their best life!

Foster siblings, Leo (orange) and Draco have decided they love each other… two days in foster care and the kittens seek each other out amongst all the other kitties.

THIS is why we encourage adopting two kittens together and offer a reduced adoption fee for two!

New to rescue; meet Leo!

Leo has a very sad story. He was living at the dumpy house (in Putnam County)that just lets cat breed and live outdoors with no vet care with his five siblings.

We have taken many cats and kittens from this house; spayed the moms and adopted several and adopted their kittens too.

We were asked to take six kittens from there about six weeks ago but due to low adoptions and low donations we did not have the room nor the funding to help.

Last Friday we were asked if we could take one kitten; the lone survivor from the the original six… how could we say no? The other five kittens have disappeared. Leo is the lone survivor.

We would like to think that people saw them and adopted them but the more likely scenario is they were killed by dogs, hawks, coyote… who knows as they live outdoors with no supervision.

My mission over the next few months is to TNR the cats that are living at this colony home. If friendly we will try to adopt them, if not then we will return them.

RIP sweet Baby Pretzel💔

From the moment PookeyBj Tillman reached out about the young kitten at Putnam Animal Control with trouble walking we knew we had to help.

Foster mom Colleen wholeheartedly agreed to take on Pretzel and even when her vet visit showed she was FELV-positive, Colleen didn’t give up on her.

Thank you Colleen for loving her so fiercely!

However, the FELV raged in her body robbing her of any time on this earth.

Today she passed away knowing she was loved and cared for and that her life mattered💔

Rest peacefully little girl. You were loved deeply!

Rescue is never easy.

We had an exciting weekend of adoptions to share!

First, Romeo found his forever family with Taylor and Brian, previous adopters!

Next our three Siamese mix kitties found their potential forever families as well!

Oscar is on a trial sleepover with Rebecca and her son Emory.

Sophie and Leonard have been adopted by Betty.

Lastly, Bobette (now Judin) has found her forever family. She has been on a trial with Dynah, Zachary, Zachary Jr and even has a kitty sibling she has become BFFs with!
