❤️‍🩹 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 • We need to update you on our little boy, Ranger, and it’s crucial. First, we haven’t been able to share recent pictures because the veterinary hospital hasn’t provided us with any. It’s now time to be honest about his condition. Ranger is facing significant setbacks following his amputation surgery; the wound has reopened, and he requires additional surgery to repair it. On top of that, he is battling a highly contagious case of ringworm. We also have serious concerns that Ranger may need a more extensive amputation after his stay at this hospital, and unfortunately, the facility isn’t offering any rescue discounts for his ongoing care and hospitalization. Our hearts ache for him. Just a few weeks ago, Ranger was found callously dumped in the trunk of an abandoned pickup truck, surrounded by trash. The saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” holds especially true for him. We are determined to give Ranger the best chance at a pain-free, happy life. 🐶 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹 • Our sweet Tinkerbell is yearning for a loving family to call her own. In our hearts, Tinkerbell is truly perfect. We invite you to look beyond her struggles and offer her the safe and loving home she desperately deserves. This gorgeous little girl is as sweet as she is beautiful. She is incredibly outgoing, and her tail constantly wags. We rescued Tinkerbell this past summer, after a compassionate police officer found her in dire conditions. Though barely clinging to life, she fought like a champion. Having been left in a yard, abandoned in the sweltering heat of Florida, she showed an incredible will to survive and is now filled with life and love to give. When we rescued her, Tinkerbell was diagnosed with heartworm, anemia, skin and double eye infections, and a whipworm infestation. Tinkerbell is now healed but still undergoing treatment for heartworm, which is not contagious to other dogs. She must remain calm during this process, as she continues to heal. Although Tinkerbell is a senior, she has a zest for life. She adores everyone she meets, including other dogs, and loves to play and go for walks. We have some exciting news about our little superstar, Henry! He has officially left Texas and is on his way to New York! When we rescued Henry, he was suffering from several tumors. One was quite large on his neck, and it required two surgeries to remove them. After weeks of tender loving care, Henry has undergone an incredible transformation and now looks like a completely different dog! For those of you who have been following Henry’s journey, you know he was once abandoned and living by mailboxes, risking his safety every day. But now, he’s ready for his happily ever after! Henry is an extraordinary dog. Honestly, he’s almost perfect! But let’s be real, aren’t all dogs? We can’t wait to share more about Henry’s personality! He’s calm, sweet, and downright friendly. Currently, Mama Val is with our little Hershey, and they are both enjoying each other’s company. We have scheduled an appointment with the veterinarian this Friday, and hopefully, we will learn how many puppies she is carrying. However, we urgently need to find a foster home where Valkyrie can comfortably welcome her adorable puppies. Poor Mama Valkyrie Ann was found in February 2023, almost two years ago, abandoned on the side of the road in Miami. After the person who rescued her faced some difficult times, they were unable to continue providing for her. Now, Valkyrie is pregnant and in desperate need of medical care, as she hasn’t seen a vet since that fateful day. With your help, we can change her story! Today, we need to bring attention to the critical situation at our organization. We are currently caring for 75 rescue dogs who rely on us every single day. It’s a two-fold commitment: we have a dedicated full-time staff of 7 employees, and we incur weekly salary expenses between $6,000 to $7,000 just to ensure our dogs receive the care they deserve. We operate 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, without exception for holidays or weather. Our dogs are living, sentient beings, and they deserve the best care possible. A day off is simply not an option.
