Family Kitchen meals are available the last two Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays of each month at First Lutheran Community Church in Port Orchard at 5 pm. If you, or someone you know, is in need of a meal, please consider stopping by to grab dinner (no questions asked!).

I want to say a huge thank you to the community that continues to care for this food-sharing space. We have recently had additions of seeds, starts, and a continuous supply of food from our local neighbors and friends to feed those around us. We are so blessed to have all of your support.

As we have entered the holiday season I want to thank our community for making sure the stand has stayed stocked with items for those in need. We even had donations of blankets and warm clothes that were left in plastic bags for those who need it.

Additionally, we have had some maintenance from a local contractor reinforce the stand so it isn't tipped over again by the windstorms like last year.

I want to say welcome to our new followers and thank you to those who have continued to support our stand. We have noticed a larger need lately and items are going as fast as they are arriving, often not even staying a full day before they are all gone again.

If you have items to donate to those in need please drop them at the stand or message me if you need us to pick it up.

Thank you so much to everyone who has continued to donate items a the temperature has dropped and the holidays are approaching.

We are working to better protect the items from the severe weather we have had recently as well as getting a new cooler for eggs and dairy since the last one was taken.

There is a great program coming soon to help with food stability in our community. It is being started at a Girl Scout Gold Award project by the same young lady who builds this stand and got this project started. The programs goals are to:

Teach people how to use their own resources to create and grow food in small spaces (apartments, balconies, etc)

Cook with the food they grow

Preserve the food they don't need right now for later use

Please send a message if you would be interested in learning more about these classes or if you would like to participate in the program.

We have a lot of potatoes available for those who need them, but if you are concerned about them going bad, here is a great way to keep them fresh until you are ready to use them

There has been a lot of great activity in the greenhouse and the fields have been prepped for a great summer season. We will start having small plants and farm raised produce soon

Welcome to our page for our food sharing farm stand. This started as a Girl Scout project for our daughter last year and has continued to gain visitors and donations throughout the year. We are going to be adding plant starts again this spring as they come available.

If you have any food to donate we greatly appreciate it. We also collect unwashed, farm eggs since they have less need for refrigeration. There is a cooler to store them out of the sun and heat.
