Come join us for a special Valentine's Day adoption event at Rumford Pet Express in Cumberland!

We have two sweethearts from Rhode Home Rescue that are looking for their forever home.

Cody is Rhode Island native but had a broken leg as a pup. His litter mates were all adopted out but he is still looking for a home.

Scout is a special boy that has survived being hit by a car. He is a single amputee but that doesn't slow him down!

We will be hosting these loveable guys Saturday 2/15 from 11am - 1pm.

February’s pet of the month focused on their smile for Dental Month!

Rhody was our winner this month! He’s an adorable little dachshund who has some pretty pearly whites.

Our next adoption event is a week from today! And it's a special one. We're using the training room at Rumford Pet Express to introduce people to some of our shy dogs who need a quieter venue to feel relaxed when they make new friends. Stop by to meet some awesome dogs who are more than deserving of a loving home of their own!

Some pup was Roma-ing around our North Kingstown store today. 🐶

You may have seen sweet Roma on Rhode Home Rescue socials before. She’s been with the rescue for almost 2 years now!

Roma is a sweet girl but needs to be the only pup in the home. While she’s been with RHR she’s received a lot of training!

She’s about 4 years old and does great with people. Just no dogs or cats for her.

We have an event filled weekend coming up!

Rhode Home Rescue will be at 3 of our stores this weekend!
Their first stops will be in East Providence for a small adoption event, just 4 pups will be in attendance! But hey that means more time to pet each one. This will be from 10am to 12pm.
Second stop will be at Smithfield for an adoption event. Along with the Girl Scouts to provide people will a chance to get some snacks for yourself!
This will be from 10am to 12pm as well.

Little Rhody Rescue will be hosting Valentine’s photos at our Attleboro store Saturday from 12pm to 2pm. If you can’t make Saturday they will be in Smithfield on Sunday! That event will be from 12pm to 2pm as well. Donations are not required for photos but always appreciated!!

Our Middletown location will have a Kissing booth set up for pet photo ops from 12pm to 2pm on Sunday as well! A little birdie told us there might be some go home goodie bags too! 🐥

We can’t wait to see everyone, your pets and maybe your new fur babies this weekend! We love seeing your photos, feel free to send them or tag us in your adventures!

Is this thing on?!

We have been posting some really cute photos over the past few days but we’re getting no love! We’re only getting a few dozen likes and almost no comments or shares. Our engagement is down 25%.

This is definitely concerning to us because social media is our primary way of communicating with our supporters. It’s how we promote our adoptable dogs, raise funds for medical treatments, and keep everyone updated on success stories.

We’re not sure what’s going on with the algorithm, but we’d really like to fix it!

This weekend we helped to collect blankets and coats for the Potter League for Animals pups and you all were super supportive! Thank you so much for all the donations.

Want to learn more about interactive ways to feed your pup?!

Bring your pup by our Cumberland location tomorrow to learn how! A few of our staff members will be demoing ways to do just that by a showcasing snuffle mats, slow feeders and interactive toys from a few of our favorite brands.

Interactive feeding can provide mental stimulation for your pup while giving them the food they already eat! This is also great during the cold months to keep them occupied and burn some energy!

Find some ways to excite your pup from 11am to 1pm at our Cumberland store!

This coat and blanket drive will be going on until Sunday 1/26.

Everyone meet handsome little Banks! He’s only 15 weeks old and made the journey all the way from Texas to be with his family.

After introducing him to his new friends at our Cumberland location, his new parents took advantage of the adoption package available to new cats and dogs!

The team there was able to set up sweet Banks with food, treats, toys and everything else he needs to get started on the right paw! While saving $73.75 in the process!!!

His mom was very excited to try out some healthy food options and is excited to be back to use our self wash. We’re excited to have a new pup in town to help keep happy and healthy as he grows and enjoys life in New England!
