Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a visionary leader whose courage, wisdom, and dedication to justice continue to inspire us all.

As an organization rooted in a legacy of service, it is a privilege to honor the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service. Each year, Zetas around the globe roll up their sleeves, raising awareness for critical causes through hands-on service and financial contributions.

This year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, will once again make history as the first Divine Nine organization to serve as an AmeriCorps MLK Day Champion. AmeriCorps recognizes that through collective action and service, we can bridge divides, heal communities, and create lasting change for generations.

As we reflect on his message of equality, peace, and unity, let us commit to advancing his dream by working together to build a more just and inclusive world for everyone. This week, we are proud to partner with them to amplify our impact and strengthen communities worldwide.

Please share if someone is in need

As the bitter cold sets in our area please remember to keep an eye on friends and loved ones and make sure they have what they need to stay warm. Protect your pets and limit their outdoor activities. Below is the latest warming center list from United Way. A person should call 2-1-1 at their time of need to determine exact resources available at that time. While these are normal operating hours, many centers extend their timeframes into and through the overnight hours to accommodate those in need. We will share those extending as the information is made available to us.

We are honored to serve our community and support those in need. Today involved packing bags and delivering them to Touchette senior complex in East St Louis. Since some seniors have no visitors, we were pleased to provide a visit, conversation, food, and warm socks. We appreciate the assistance of Phi Beta Sigma World Famous East St Louis, Township Supervisor Ricky Eastern, and the Clyde Jordan senior center.

Today, we celebrate and uplift the black and gold men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated on their 118th Anniversary!

Seven educators came together at Cornell University on December 4th, 1906 to build a brotherhood that not only supports and encourages black students to pursue higher education, but also focuses on serving the community.

Throughout its history, Alpha Phi Alpha has played a significant role in the civil rights movement and has been involved in various social and political initiatives aimed at addressing racial inequality. The fraternity carries the legacy of strong commitment to community service and continues to contribute to numerous charitable causes.
