Lighthouse Hill had an amazing day at the Four Town Fair on Sunday! We love this horseshow and have it on the calendar every year. The show is well run, the footing is great, the jumps are beautiful, and the prize trailer is amazing. Thank you Darcy LaChance and your entire crew for putting on such a fun show. Another huge thank you to our village both at the show and at home. We could not do this without all of you and you are so appreciated. The biggest thank you of all to our amazing horses who try their hearts out for us and tolerate our glitter shenanigans.
Here are some horse and rider highlights!

Becca and Taco made their return to the show ring and came home with a reserve champion in the cross rail division as well as ribbons in the Adult Pleasure!

Megan and Percy had a great outing earning ribbons in every cross rail class and adult pleasure class. This pair has had quite a successful show season!

Taylor took Toriā€™s horse Rem and made her horse show debut earning ribbons in the cross rail division improving in every class!!

Sandy made her horse show debut with Marty and showed that a lot of hard work and prep at home lays off winning 2 of 3 classes in the 2ft devision coming home with a Champion ribbon.

Maria and her horse Brooklyn were very impressive in the 2ā€™6 putting in some beautiful rounds. They made their derby debut and came home with 4th. The future is very bright for this pair!

Tori and her horse Rem moved up to the 2ā€™6 and had great rounds. This pair has come so far this summer and we are all so proud of them. They finished the day with a solid derby round!

Hannah piloted Marty to another champion ribbon this time in the 2ā€™6 division! They also put in a solid derby round. Marty has learned so much this summer and I canā€™t thank all of his riders for giving him such great rides and positive experiences. My green tb is growing up and figuring out how to be a show horse!

Katie and her long time partner Ice won the 2ā€™9 equitation classic, were second in the hunter derby and won their 3ā€™ eq trip. What a wonderful horse show to close out their season.

Suzanne and Luigi earned ribbons in a very competitive Adult Pleasure division and finished their day winning the Open Local Pleasure Senior class bringing home a beautiful trophy.

Jordan and Toby had a very impressive second show together earning ribbons in their WTC division as well as winning both Open Western Pleasure classes!

Emily and the amazing little spotted horse Pongo tied for the win in the touch and our class clearing 4ft! This little horse impressed all of us. They also had beautiful rounds in the .9 earning champion in division.

Abi also got to ride everyoneā€™s favorite appy Pongo and earned a champion ribbon in there .7 division!! This pair is so fun to watch and continue to get better and better each time out.

Julia and our favorite speedy lady Summer Breeze won two halter classes, earned ribbons in the WTC division and flew to great ribbons in the .7 division. We love watching this pair!

Juliaā€™s brother Levi got the ride on Taco for leadline and did not disappoint not only with great ribbons but also amazing commentary.

Olivia and Rocky made their jumper debut and impressed us all with their grit and determination. They earned ribbons in both .7 classes and we canā€™t wait to see this pair continue to grow in the jumper ring!

Harly and Oakley were champion in the .8 division and had a solid round in the .9 class. This pair has grown so much and improve at every show. Hard work for sure pays off.

Rachael and Mojo were excellent and so fun to watch in the 1.0 class taking the win and then Rachel turned the reins over to Marilyn who won the 1.10 class on Mojo.

It was a hugely successful day for Lighthouse Hill! Again a huge thank you to everyone who got chores done at home, hauled horses, held horses, fed us, and kept the day running so smoothly!!

Next up is our first IEA show at My Holyoke on 9/28

Lighthouse Hill had a fantastic week at CHJA Finals/Fairfield August. The horses were all fantastic even in the torrential downpour and not ideal Sunday conditions. I could not be more proud of our group of horses or their riders. Everyone displayed excellent riding and horsemanship. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making these weekends possible. The Lighthouse Hill Village is incredible.

Some highlights include:

Katie Gagnon and Iceman earned 7th in a very competitive Junior Equitation Flat class and had a great round in Katies first CHJA Junior Medal final! We love watching this pair compete. They have grown so much together.

Maria Macavoy and Marty put in some of their best rounds yet earning ribbons in the FCHC 2ā€™6 Jr/Am equitation division as well as a great round in the CHJA Childrenā€™s medal final. Our brave green TB braved the elements like an old pro despite this being his first time on grass and only his 5th horse show ever.

Hannah Bruno and Fred put in beautiful round in the CHJA Junior medal final just missing the cut off. This pair continues to impress in the Equitation ring and dare I say Fred is starting to enjoy and excel at his ā€œcorporate jobā€. Hannah also earned an 8th place ribbon in the Horsemanship 13 and Over section!

Julia Cohen and Percy earned an impressive 8th in a huge pre childrenā€™s fences class as well as braving the elements and coming home with a Fifth Place finish in the CHJA Pre Childrenā€™s Medal. Julia may have only ridden Percy a handful of times but they looked like a seasoned pair out in the mud.

Ashley Luckhardt and Iceman won the modified adult equitation flat and earned a Fourth place finish in the CHJA Modified Adult Medal Final. This pair has put in a lot of work this summer and it paid off! They had a lovely trip despite being poured on.

Colleen Lima and Percy had to brave the worst of the rain and despite that put in a solid trip in the CHJA Modified Adult Medal final. This long time pair always makes everyone smile.

A few days to rest and regroup and then off to CHSA finals!!

Here's what our herd is doing today, snoozing in front of fans! We always get the horses out as much as possible, but on a day like today with a lack of shade in turnout it was more kind to let them be in front of their fans. They aren't complaining! šŸ’¤
