Today I feel very sad ! I lost my one of the best patients in my life . He remind me Jim Cooper who was also very friendly and give love to everyone when he used to come hospital unfortunately he had very bad cancer we tried our best but he lost his fight with cancer .
Same thing happened today with Teddy, he had a very bad intussusception. We removed 10 inches of the intestines, but after 4 days the intestines still were not contracting very well. We performed surgery again today to figure out why he was not getting better and we found major part of the intestines were dying and no longer functioning. We removed this dead part of intestines and sutured him very well, everything was going very good until he was in the recovery cage and collapsed. We put him back on the ventilator but he unfortunately did not make it. Our whole staff is very sad today, everyone loved Teddy. He bonded with our staff especially those who stayed overnight with him and we cared for him like our own. We know his family misses him and we hope their good memories of him will comfort them during this time.
