it’s vacation season. So I’m busy with vacation Pet visits and also busy with dog walks in the middle of the day. I know there’s a lot of pictures today, but hopefully they are just some joy to distract you.

In PA we are in the middle of a heat wave. As you might expect, for a dog walker, that has a great effect. First, I must make sure that I can keep myself cool. Wear the right clothes. wear the right stuff around my neck. keeping my car cooler inside with sunshades. making sure I have water. The list goes on. I have to adjust, but the dogs do as well. Depending on where they live we walk in the shade or maybe we just walk in the backyard. You can’t walk on the asphalt or sidewalks if it’s too hot.. sometimes we just have to stay inside and find something to do. Safety is most Important.

A few days ago I said good bye to Roxy Rose. I took care of her for over 6 years. She and I spent a lot of time together. She was not a dog. She was my friend. I will miss her severely. Her parents were the absolute best. They have lost their baby. I will cherish my memories of our time together.

One of my favorite Pet clients passed recently. Ben was a very very special dog who also was an army vet. he and his nose served in Afghanistan searching for IEDs. He lived the last few years of his life with a very special family who took very good care of him. A real hero has just crossed that Rainbow Bridge. .
